The lad who emails me the team has just sent some info,

Benitez has been told he has to sell 4 players in January Babel, Voronin, Dossena and Degen. Benitez has said he does not want to sell degen hence why he was on the bench yesterday he needs him for cover for johnson. Board have asked to justify why a player on 37 grand a week does not get in the squad. No news if he will be allowed to reinvest the money.

Benitez has been saying he has 3 20 mill players lined up in the summer but the joke in melwood is that he hasn't got a pot to piss in.

Rudd is a realistic target in Jan.

And he has lost some of the dressing room and i quote "Well the more important parts of it anyways."

Just passing on what i've been told this is all i know.

Thanks for the news RedShrek.

That sentence really worries me because it would explain why some of the players look like they don't give a shit.

Two players that will never fail to give 100% for Liverpool are Carra and Gerrard.

If players are giving less than 100% expect these two to get in their faces and let them know about it. Cf. Gerrard on Babel.

Thanks for passing on the info Redshrek.

tell him to look down the settee

Babel and Voronin can go any time even if they can't be replaced. I would prefer our young players on the fringe like Pacheco to get a chance instead.

Dossena had a very good game against Fiorentina so I am wondering if he isn't better than we thought he was. Likewise, Degen has looked a lot better on the rare occasions we have seen him lately, so maybe he has some potential.

That´s a very good question. He´s shit but why is he on 37k.

Degen looks good going forward... at times more so than Johnson, but at the back he is painfully exposed time and again.

Coupled with the fact he has a glass knee, we'd do well to pick up a couple of mill for him in Jan.

Dossena is a strange one, at the back he does look ok, but he just looks too slow and therefore ill-equipped for the pace of a premier league game at LB.

Babel's attitude is one of resignation to the fact he'll never be a first teamer at Anfield. And Voronin can just fuck off.

Not having a go at you but,
Reina
Carrer
Masher
Gerrard
Torres

All look as though they are trying and I would suggest that they are "the more important parts" of the dressing room.

*sneaks Dirky Boy in there*

We knew he was on 30-40K a week.
I read an article recently, Degen is the second highest earner in swiss sport after Federer.

How much do the likes of Dossena, Babel, Voronin earn?

I don't think your having a go.

I wouldn't doubt there not trying on the pitch but if they are doubting his tactics and stuff like that they may start trying there own thing on the pitch hence why we look a bit clueless on the pitch. RThe carra hoof returning. Did anyone see Masch's sheer llok of disgust when he was brought off yesterday?

I suspect Voronin is earning a lot too. Players on Bosman frees often tend to.

Happy to see the back of any of these really. We don't need Dossena, there is no situation where we would miss Voronin, and although Degen isn't THAT bad a player he is injured far too much so as a back up he is pathetically useless.

The only one I would say keep unless we have a replacment coming in is Babel.

He was probably fucked off because we were losing.

Just a hunch.

good, they're cunts who regularly disgrace themselves and the team because of their presence
[/quote]

bullshit.
the reason the team has gone to the fucking dogs is the first team not the fringe. the fringe haven't been selected often enough to make a difference either way.
look at kuyt who does nothing but chase his fucking tail all game long, babel would be hard pressed to have done worse if given the same oppertunities this season.

one could argue Babel has already done more than kuyt by actually scoring a goal that is of sheer quality versus the tap ins and such Dirk thigh shots is famous for (the argument would be incorrect but i think the point stands that Babel deserves a proper proper run in the team). Babel has half as many goals and the same amount of assists as Kuyt despite the later starting 23 games and Babel starting 5 along with 9 subs appearences (probably totalling 90 minutes)

the most depressing thing about all this is the next manager will come in and say I have a five year plan to get us to the top and he will do well probably win a cup or two and that will paper over the cracks for a while and then he will all of a sudden fail in spectacular fashion...:🙁

Is completely wrong.

Our first team may not be performing to the required standard, but it's an injury crisis which has fully exposed our lack of strength and depth this season.

N'gog is back up for Torres.
Yossi's back up for Riera
Lucas's back up to Aquilani (we hope)
Insua's back up to Aurelio
Nobody can be back up to Gerrard.

These players simply cannot perform to the required standard when it's needed.

the difference they make is that the squad looks rubbish with them in it. im ashamed to look at the list of players in our squad. bringing shame upon the club who pays for you to drive about in high performance cars is disgraceful

Not all managers are like that. We NEED to find a manager who's best skill is spotting talents in youngsters or underachieving players and can then teach them a style, a brand that gets them to express themselves on the field in an environment that has continuity, comfort, and belief.

also no square pegs in round holes unless they are being trained to a new position or being taught a different aspect or technique to their game. (a la Diaby on the left wing for Wenger until he learnt how to use his left foot)[quote author=Asim

its ok man, the general clear objectivity of your posts made it obvious that it wasn't a truly malicious response, there is much respect

Degen should stay...

the lad looks decent going forward..

I liked what I saw against Arsenal and a few games before that... If the lad stays Injury free he could be a useful addition from the bench... just needs to sort his defending out...

I even think Dossena is a better option as a left winger than Babel... he looked decent against Fiorentina... but given the fact he been more shite than good.. he should go...

Wasn't Dossena pretty good at LW against Fulham last year too. He was putting in superb balls against Fiorentina

The above is of greatest concern.

Without sounding OTT, this can quite quickly have a domino effect on other players.
