Swansea 1-0 down to a Fernandinho goal.

City don't look like they're trying all that hard and happy to simply hit Swansea - who are leaving themselves bizarrely exposed at the back - on the break.

Swansea seem pretty decent when it comes to building attacks but are completely impotent when it comes to the final third. They really do need to do something about that in Jan.

De Guzman was through on goal pretty much in an earlier chance and failed to hit it with enough conviction.

This City side can definitely be got at. Doesn't look like we'll see an upset today though.

Heh.

Bony scores with a header - despite being marginally offside - just before the half-time whistle. And it was coming. Swansea have been the better side for the last 20 minutes.

That Lamar guy - perhaps simply having an off day - has one of the worst first touches in the league, surely. Awful.

Haha. Swansea are shit.

It was all them since conceding. Lots of nice interplay but zero cutting edge.

Kolarov dispossesses Routledge in his own half, runs on his own almost unchallenged into the Swansea box and fires a shot past a very weak wristed goalkeeper.

Wow, that goalie is gash. Bet you, he'll play a blinder when Swansea comes to Anfield, though.

Swansea look like a light version of us.

Great attacking but not always convincing in front of goal & look weak at the back.

Thinking the same. Though a bit like us a season or two ago. We are a lot more potent in front of goal these days.

Swansea look beaten now.

Some nasty late goals there, at least Everton didn't win though, would of taken that before kick off.

Arsenal, Bendtner scoring late on, maybe it is their year.

Assaidi get in.

This loan is looking like a good move. He gets minutes, he scores some and shows he can play a bit in this league. If he comes back, he'll have had more minutes in the league under his belt and hopefully can contribute more to our cause next season. If he isn't retained, at least his showing would hopefully have raised some interest and we recoup most or all of the transfer fees.

We might be able to use him this season given our thin squad.

I doubt he will come back tbh.
I'd be more inclined to see what Ibe can do with a run of pre season games behind him.

Yeah, just thought if we make it into Europe, he can be a handy option. Will also allow the younger lads to go out on loan and get some taste of 1st team football

Can you recall a player out on loan to a Premier League club? I thought it wasn't allowed. At least that was the impression I got when it was reported that we were sending Wisdom to the lower leagues because we wanted the flexibility of being able to recall him if required.

All of his goals have been super ones as well. Always liked the look of him - it's a complete mystery why we didn't give him any playing time at all.

As with Alberto now.
