Macca called it earlier but I'd love to see Bellamy back in some capacity.
He's far more intelligent than he'll ever get credit for.
I'd love to see him back.
Macca only wants him back so he can start up his Bellamy blog again 😉

Oscar Garcia sounds great. I would be well up for someone out of the Rinus Michels/Johan Cruijff sexy football tradition.

For the last time: Rodgers is the coach and he'll either continue to dominate the coaching or he'll walk. There won't be two different coaches coaching the same team in different ways.

So explain how it will work? Lets say Pako comes in as a strong recomendation from Stevie to FSG. He has his ideas about how we should press as a unit and Brendan might see this as provoking and stand by his ideas that as long as we have the ball 65% of the time we have 79% chance of winning. Hence BR want us to roll the ball sideways before we set up some triangles, while FSGs man wants us to lay low, press hard and then move quick.... Who gets the blame if they cant work it out?

Look, I've made the point many times that I DON'T see it working, so don't ask me to explain what I don't think is explainable. I think it's a bafflingly incoherent idea unless it's designed to make Rodgers resign. I refer you back to my previous comments.

Ah... No point arguing with you. Lets just agree to agree!!!

I'm not trying to avoid arguing, my point's surely very clear. It's been the same since people were asking for a defensive coach. Rodgers is an holistic coach, you can't on his terms hive off the first quarter of play to a different coach and then hand over duties to him for the more progressive bits. It's supposed to be all of a piece. I really don't see where you thought any argument would go, unless you think Rodgers isn't an holistic coach!

As I said I agree... I cant see it work as I agree on your analysis....

Ian Cathro has left his post at Valencia for 'personal reasons'. Would be an interesting option.

Cathro released a statement last night saying: 'I would like to thank Nuno Espírito Santo for the opportunity to work with him in the top leagues in Portugal and Spain.

'It has been a unique and hugely rewarding experience for an ambitious Scottish coach.

'I wish Valencia the success they deserve. I had an amazing time with a great club in a fantastic city. This was a very difficult decision to take and was agreed some time ago.'

The statement continued by saying Cathro will 'continue to develop his coaching career while possibly considering a managerial role in the future.'[/article]

He's link with the Ranger's job though.

[article=http://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/football/scottish-coach-ian-cathro-tipped-to-take-over-as-rangers-manager-after-quitting-assis.128756812]The former Dundee United youth coach, who is just 28, was appointed as No.2 to Nuno Espirito Santo at the Spanish giants last year.

He first met former Portuguese footballer Santo on an SFA coaching course at Largs in 2009 and struck up a friendship.

The ex-Forfar Athletic and Brechin City player joined the backroom team at Rio Ave in Portugal when Nuno was made manager there in 2012.

Cathro, who has been widely credited with bringing through the talented crop of youngsters at Tannadice in the last few years, has been linked with a move to Ibrox as well as Liverpool in recent months.

The Scot has revealed he made his decision to quit Valencia "some time ago" for family reasons and has stressed he will not be returning to the Mestalla.

Despite his tender years, Cathro has been heavily tipped to take over as manager at the SPFL Championship club on a permanent basis.

Some bookmakers have cut the odds on him taking over at the Glasgow club to 3-1 after the news he had left Valencia earlier today.

After helping Valencia move to fourth place in La Liga, just five points behind then leaders Real Madrid, at the halfway point in the 2014/15 campaign, he was tipped to join Rangers in January.
