Anyone know much about this lad? In the Turkish Euro squad at 18 and apparently on the radar of a host of top clubs despite only a few first team appearances in Denmark. KHL?

Liverpool eye move for Turkey youngster Emre Mor
4:51 PM BST

Liverpool are leading the race for Turkey and FC Nordsjaelland youngster Emre Mor, a source close to the Danish club has told ESPN FC.

Mor, 18, is emerging as one of the most promising young players in Europe after catching the eye in the Danish Superliga and he was named in Turkey's Euro 2016 squad. The attacking midfielder only recently made his debut for Turkey after pledging his international allegiance to the county having played for Denmark at under-19 level. Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund and Ajax have been credited with an interest in Mor, but Liverpool are hoping to steal a march on their rivals for the teenager with Jurgen Klopp keen to add to his attacking options at Anfield this summer.

Mor has scored two goals and laid on two assists for Nordsjaelland in 13 appearances so far this season and the club are bracing themselves for firm interest in their prize asset.

I know pretty much about him actually, one of my dads friends has even coached him at Lyngby before he moved on to FCN.

First of all, it's absolutely devastating news from Denmark's perspective that he opted for Turkey on many levels. Not only is he a player with qualities you rarely find in Denmark (unless your surname is Laudrup) but as a country in general we could SO use a Turkish named player to shine in our national team. Would do an awful lot for integration etc., give a lot of kids with different background than Danish hope that they can make it as well - we really are miles behind say Sweden and Germany (and even Norway when you look at especially their younger generations coming through the ranks) in this regard, to actually include and unearth players with a different origin than Danish, which is just pretty saddening from my point of view.

After this detour into more political waters - I had to do it as it's REALLY bugging me and even more so because I can almost understand why players with non-Danish names would sometimes rather opt to play for someone else, because of the at times very unfriendly and dividing political climate - back to the topic, Mor. (Which means 'mother' & 'mom' in Danish why we are also missing out on great headlines like: 'Mor Redder Os' - 'Mom Saved Us', etc.

Emre is an amazingly skilled forward/wide player with almost infinite potential, and while you really shouldn't compare anyone to Messi that's exactly what the assistant coach at FC Nordsjaelland has done recently, while explaining that his level at training is sky high and the tricks he pull out of this world and unseen off on Danish turf. He can simply ghost by players at high speed with the ball glued to his feet and doing so seemingly without much effort too. He will score a lot of goals too as he's got a keen eye for goal and a great shot on him and he just seems rather unstoppable when on the ball. He can be a bit selfish at times but has also made some rather inventive and clever passes to teammates - a part of his game he will most likely want to develop further.

The mental part of his game is where the real challenge lies for him however, as he's not only got a massive ego but also - at least in the past - had difficulties and bust-ups with teammates in the dressing room, on the pitch etc. Whenever he's been subbed after getting his first games under his belt this season he's almost every time reacted immaturely, kicking and screaming etc. He's not what you'd call a humble player but he seems extremely determined and eager.

My overall conclusion is that he will most likely become a star both for club and country - if he can he keep his feet somewhat on the ground and stay humble for the challenges lying ahead. The rare football talent of his is indisputable.

Just made his senior debut for Turkey national team:

To pull that bit of skill as you can see 2:10 into the clip. In your first ever game for the national side aged 18. Kinda tells all you need to know about him.

10 of 10 in audacity and skill.

Sounds more like Adel Taarabt than Messi.
That is one way his career could be heading, yes.

I doubt it though, as I think the raw talent in Mor is far and beyond Adel's why his antics and behaviors will be more accepted and then he's heading the 'Suarez' way instead

And 1 out of 10 for passing.

He completed two passes in three minutes of highlights.

He's not known for passing the ball much. It's not like he's a bad passer from what I've seen he just prefers to have the ball all the time himself if possible.

Great, it's always useful to have players who don't pass the ball much.

And when players are dubbed things like "the Turkish Messi" that just means a small, greedy player who likes showing off and is fucking shit.

He is small and greedy and he likes to show off.

He is not shit though at all.

And no'one has dubbed him the 'Turkish Messi', but compared his set of skills to Messi's - which in itself is quite bold, but truth is there are people close to this little lad that believes he's a very very special talent. From the looks of it I think they are right.
