I don't think he was brilliant ... I think he was solid, and was one of his better performances for us (though that's not saying much unfortunately). I hope he continues on this curve. A healthy, and motivated, Joe Cole can only help us.

Thread to himself. I thought he was brilliant tonight.
Really brilliant in fact. I hope Capello comes to all our games.
Oh and N'gog is a cunt. That stolen shot was a fucking disgrace.

Absolutely. I was waiting for that to hit the back of the net ..... before that twat stole it.

He'd have missed. The most overrated player possibly ever.

Ngog is a Championship player and he showed it (again) today.

He's not developed at all really. At first he showed good promise and skill. He's nowhere near the required level and looks like he'll never be. But then you can say the same for Joe Cole.
I thought he played well, when we got him into the game, he held the ball up better than he has so far and looked a threat, still a yard or so off it though.

Plaudits to Joe for actually seeing out the game. That's a starting point. He can only improve his match fitness by getting game time.
He needs to shed a few kgs. Overall he worked hard and covered a lot of ground. Excellent effort!

He showed signs of getting there, but you guys who have played know yourself, if you are not 100% fit your touch slips and you are always reaching for the ball
He will be much better off for that 90 mins and for the rest of the season I would be happy for him to replace Maxi
KopKing: Do you reckon that was a £90k week performance?
No that wasn't a £90k a week performance but encouraging all the same. He has a long way to go but he'll get a run to improve his match fitness and get some form.
Cole is clearly a talented player and he'll get all the help he needs from Kenny and Clarke!

Fair do's. I think it was an awful signing and Chelsea must have laughed when they effectively traded him for Yossi. Possibly Purslow's second worst footballing decision in a plethora of them. Joe Cole is fat, slow and has little end product. Even when he was good, he wasn't *really*.
The injuries have taken their toll. He wont get any quicker and had Maxi played exactly the same as Joe Cole did today, everyone would have said their usual 'get rid' comments. Maxi is better than him and at least he's fit to play football. Kenny should fine him for that fat ass.
So the general consensus is that oncy is being his usual hyperbolic, mad extreme self with his "Cole was brilliant tonight. Really brilliant." chat then?
Just thought I'd check cos I haven't even seen the bloody game.

He had an OK game. Improved as the game wore on. Short of match fitness and sharpness. But some signs....

I also thought that he left Wilson exposed at left back alot, especially in the first half as he often seem to get sucked in to the middle and lost his man.
