Man Utd dealt blow as Rabiot’s mother asks for wage ‘in excess’ of €7m Juve earnings

Why wouldn't he? I think Klopp would have made a legend out of Rashford. He still has the game to be an amazing player, I believe that. And he's in a select group of Utd players I really like.

Absolutely - Klopp definitely would have turned him into someone that would be wanted by every single top club.

Rashford is bang average, seems like a great bloke but he's nowhere near the level that his hype seems to suggest. He's 25 in a few weeks, he's not a kid developing his game, he's pretty much the finished article.

What about him do you like? I like him as a person, but as a forward his finishing is not as good as Greenwood, and his ball control/creativity is below Martial. I think his best position might be in a front two rather a 433/343

I don’t know why people think badly of rabiot’s mum - she sounds brilliant.

I love that she hung around the car park waiting for Blanc - hope she booted him square in the nuts.

I also like that she rinses every last penny out of the Shite-hawks her son plays for.

If he was any good - one Klopp hug would have her paying us to allow her son play.

However - he’s shite - so he can go to Utd and she can threaten to fuck Ten Hags up outside OT.

I actually thought he was so good when he first came through that I feared that Man United had the UK version of Mbappe. But he has really got worse over the last few years, and he is still young. I just find his whole form and decision making has just got worse and worse.

They do have a version of Mbappe.

It’s just that it’s like the version of Mbappe I control when I play FIFA.

There's a tragic backstory to Adrien Rabiot. The man in the photo below is Michael Provost, Adrien's father, a loyal PSG fan who introduced the boy to football, and taught him the game.

In 2007, when Adrien was twelve, and playing for PSG, Michael suffered a stroke, leading to lock in syndrome, a neurological pathology that induced absolute immobility.

The stroke left Michael totally unable to move, but alert and cerebrally active. And, critically, forever wedded and at the mercy of his dear and lovely wife Veronique Rabiot.

Horrific, God help him.

Here's why - it shows there's still a bit of sexism out there I guess. Plus it is different. No-one else is repped by their Mum. Natural to notice.

Trent is repped by his Mum (with help from her brother who used to be football secretary at United), as was John-Arne Riise (and his brother).
The sexism point is fair though. There are lots of women administrators in football but it’s rare to see a female agent.
I do think the issue with Rabiot’s Mum is mostly because she has too high an opinion of his worth, but you don’t see the same level of criticism with players repped by their Dads (even Neymar, whose Dad seems to be really dodgy).

I'm sure whatever that is will. Have you ever seen 'The Diving Bell And The Butterfly'? Great film, but an even better book. Especially as the poor guy who wrote it did so only by communicating through blinking. Locked In Syndrome has to be right up there with the very worst afflictions/conditions...

I think you do. C.f. Haaland (who has two agents inc. his father).

No, don't know that one mate. As a condition, I honestly can't think of anything worse.

It's a fantastic film and I also couldn't think of anything worse, until I found out you could have it, and simultaneously, somehow, have Rabiot's mum as your bird.

And possibly be forced to watch your son play for the current Man Utd team.
