Man Utd Watch - 2022/23

It’s all gone Red Cafe in here…
As far as I can see we’re not all entitled bellends. I’m pretty sure we don’t grasp at any excuse to explain the dire shithouse of a club we’ve become. Sure there’s a thread here to giggle a bit about how embarrassing they’ve become so as I said in my initial post.l - There’s an element of schadenfreude to it. I’m ok with it to be honest. They deserve the mockery the whopping thunder cunts.

Apparently TeamViewer the main shirt sponsor for Utd have pulled out of the deal. 47mill a year. Utd have lost 4/5th of their share value since signing up 2 years ago. This makes them in their eyes an ‘unworthy investment’ 😀 It’s funny but not totally disastrous seeing as though they still have 3 years left to run on it.
Apparently though the wonka ticket sponsorship cash they have enjoyed for the last 15-20 years is well and truly over. Guess they'll have go back to trying to market Ketchup as 'Man Utd Red Sauce' to pick up the slack....

I'm looking forward to watch Hag's enthusiasm and patience get slowly beaten out of him.

Their transfer window has been largely inept. Eriksen looks a decent move, but they haven't got the big changes they needed, Ronaldo will wither continue to sour the place, stifle their long term development, and drain their wage budget.

If Hags go any sense he should just bench him and use him as an impact player whilst concentrating on getting the best from Sancho, Rashford, Martial, Eriksen and Fernandes. Ronaldo was always a sticking plaster.

Ronaldo is still a fantastic player. Look at those goals last season - 24 goals at 37 years of age, I mean it's sublime. Has anyone else ever scored as many at that age. He should get picked up handily by a decent CL club, surely.

It's the wages. Most decent CL clubs couldnt afford to pay them and the elite clubs don't want/need him

Just an observer looking in - He seems to be so disruptive to a team in that he really only seems to care about himself. His teammates seem to revere him and despise him in equal measure. Team harmony with him in the squad goes straight out of the window. He really is an amazing player, no doubt about that. I'll put it this way. I'd never want him anywhere near Liverpool — Even if he was on a free and getting paid in spent bottle tops. He's a preening whopper that is toxic. Him signing for anyone is almost faustian in nature. I'm not surprised there are no takers.

I dunno man, is that toxic thing real? Seems like it might be a little bit of a stereotype. How much more egotistical is he than any other top strikers or players like Mbabbe? Lewan? Neymar? Isn't that part of most dressing rooms (with the exception of the well managed ones like ours)

But if he wants the CL so badly and is already Mega Rich, he'd surely be flexible?
Yeah I know what you're saying dude. I've no idea. As I said, I'm just forming an opinion as an outsider looking in. Every time I see him though, it's always him throwing his hands in the air, sulks, exasperation at the shitness of those around him. I can't say I blame him to be honest, as they are all shit compared to him, but - It's certainly not helpful. Him leaving the ground early and openly saying he wants to leave to play CL footy can't be good. Being a football player of the highest standard is more than just sublime skill. Look at Trent. He is still living with his parents. He does that to keep himself grounded and not let his head get too big. Well decent and good on him. Look at Milner. Proper pro. I applaud that level of professionalism. Ronaldo is amazing but a team player???? I'm not so sure. Just my opinion, of course.🙂

he's likely forcing a move, maybe? Living with your parents level of professionalism, are you thinking Ronaldo should move back in with his Mum? 🙂

Ha! Don't be daft. It's the mindset man. I can understand it I just don't agree with it. Hey ho - apart from me personally thinking he's a fucking dick - what does that matter? Nada. I'm sure he'll keep on being himself and reaching for glory. Hes already got it surely?

Zlatan is arguably similar in that aspect. Except he also won shit for them, then went to LA for a laugh and a quick paycheck before returning to Italy to win Milan the league after years of mediocrity. He's 40 now but I can still see him scoring 10-15 goals this season

I guess they expected Ronaldo to have the same impact, while also selling loads of shirts

It feels funny to write, but Zlatan seems to be less selfish and more of a team player than Ronaldo at this stage of his career.

The weekend ended pretty well i'd say. More than made up for yesterday's downer. Just the dopamine rebalancing I needed. Cheers MU.
Man U results have no bearing on us . The only rebalancing would have been city dropping points but they didn't . Utd losing is only an added bonus , don't see how the weekend ended good .
