just a few;

1. adam johnson is a greedy bastard and if he squares for silva then pepe has no chance as he is covering the near post.
so AJ,I salute you sir.

2, johnson had great piece of mind to give the back to bellamy, he couldn't hae scored from there but bought a yard of space for ballemy who took the pass brilliantly as almost certainly he wasn't expecting it and what a finish.

3. as good as enrigue has been I think ballemy is our signing of the season, I also think bellamy is our best striker.

4. kuyt is coming back into form, you can just tell and I will best any money he will be scoring with regularity within a month. winter slump, spring hot streak, regular as clockwork.

5. the game was our season in microcosm;
shit loads of chances
total domination
opposition keeper heroics
opposition score with only shot on shot
draw

fortunately the draw was all we needed

6. adam needs to back in the needless fouls are they will cost us and could have cost us last night as that was a definate penalty and we got away with it.

7. kenny's stinging words had the disired effect as to a man the team worked harder, pressed higher, and gave city no time on the ball if we'd showed the same work effic bolton we would have battered them.

well done kenny and co

Make space in the trophy cabinet please.
hopefully we don't underestimate the opposition as arsenal did and paid the price.

Not so sure it was Kenny's words that had this effect, we have played like that for most of the season. More likely - as Kenny said - these players were holding themselves back for this game.

Spider : edit your post, it's not easy to work out what you are saying half the time ! Presence not piece !

We wanted it more than them.
And Mancini playing 3 at the back massively helped us.
He set them up poorly in both legs.

Savic cant go a game without blessing someone a big chance or goal, spurs gave him a torrid time at the weekend.

Luckily for City Kompany is back for the weekend.

Agreed.

Thoughts? Its nice to see some positive stuff on here for a change rather than our own fans talking about how shit we are and how every player we sign isn't David fucking Silva.

It's a French thing, I think.

with regards to downing, I really like how he brings the ball front to back extremely quickly but he seems in two minds what to do when he actually reaches his destination. I don't think downing has been that great this season but I do think there is room for him to push on.

Enrique's passing was a quite shocking last night. Reminded me one of our former left back.
fuckin hell, Sven and Anfield on one page, who signed the day release forms?

So Enrique is the new Riise? You mad, obsessive cunt.

i just hope we don't do one of our typical suicidal inconsistent runs and not turn up at Wembley, cos we would look really stupid if we lose the cup to Cardiff.

We've had a significant advantage over Man City in most games we've played them, but lacked the tools at times to do anything with it. We absolutely dominated them in these games, and but for decent goal keeping and our play in the final third, we'd have done far better. Then again more skillful players in the final third don't generally have the defensive abilities and desire to press which helped us so well. Bellamy's defensive contributions for instance were remarkable. He had such a complete game.

Man City played poorly again, and weren't really called out on it by anyone. They played against us the same way that any number of lower table clubs can get points off us, and with their talent, it could have easily worked, but it doesn't exactly show ambition.
