I seem to remember a few of our fans complaining about Jose mourinho putting his finger to his mouth and telling us to "ssshhh" at Cardiff a few years back.

"Inciting hatred" or some other bollocks was the complaint, can't really remember.

Football fans are knob heads. We've all got them.

Did you not read my post or did the rose tinted ones come out again?
What the friggin bloody heck are you up to here then, Mr.Windever ?
I'm just sick to death of our fans at the moment bleating about how hard done to we are.

Doin me fuckin head in.

We singled ourselves out for getting pissed on when our new MD made the TV rights faux pas the other month.

Yep, me too.

We lose simply cos we don't convert enough chances.

If we converted another 2/3 chances per game these 'match changing decisions' everyone is bleating on about wouldn't be as important, & be easily forgotten.

The united penalty one our fans bang on about makes me laugh, cos we got the exact same criticism back when we won everything, & it was pointed out by Shanks (I think) that if you spend longer with the ball in the opposition area you'll get more penalties. Same applies now with them.

You win matches by scoring goals, not by getting the rub of the green on every ref's decision.

Suarez has until 4pm on Monday to decide how to respond to the charge and if convicted he could face a ban, though punishments in such cases have varied. Birmingham City's Stephen Carr was banned for one game for an obscene gesture directed at Aston Villa supporters last year, while Joey Barton – then at Manchester City – was merely fined £2,000 in 2006 for dropping his shorts to Everton fans. Raul Meireles and Emmanuel Frimpong have escaped any punishment for similar offences to Suarez. Wayne Rooney missed two games after hurling abuse into a television camera at West Ham last season.

If he pleads guilty to the charge and apologises – as Carr did – he could miss Liverpool's visit to Aston Villa on Sunday week, with a match at Wigan Athletic following four days later.

Liverpool's position mirrors that of Birmingham who, after the incendiary match at Villa in which Carr made his gesture, were also fined £10,000 for failing to control their players. Four of them were booked in the wake of a penalty award during the match.

Thank you Peter.

Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you.

There's a fine line.

Blaming defeats on referees when we do enough to win and can't finish is ridiculous, I agree.

However, this recent spate of FA charges, when Utd players and others consistently get away with what we've been charged with, smacks of inconsistency and adds credence to the conspiracy theories (Which I didn't believe in myself up until a few months ago).

This is from the same FA that feels it has valid grounds to an appeal on Rooney's ban where he turned around and booted a player for nothing. Hypocrisy.

Another site just posted two photoes of Rooney and Cashley Cole doing similar gestures to fans, and not getting charged.
Surley we can use that whit Suarez being charged?

There are also pics of Utd crowding out referees after penalties, and John Terry trying to take the red card out of the refs hand!!!!!! And not getting charged.
There is so much evidence of others doing the same its laughable.

Stinks. It fucking stinks.
Meireles got away with it last year

I *think* it was Torres last year (during warm-down at Wolves) and Ming this year (at Arsenal).

Which makes it even more inconsistently consistent. If everyone are charged, then fine. But when its just happening because the FA "feels" like it from time to time, its just stupid.

"Failing to control their players?" Then the FA should charge Bolton and Newcastle for the same thing on the back of the way their players reacted on Saturday.

We're clearly getting bummed by the FA at the moment, I don't think anyone can rely deny it. But it has happened at other times to other clubs. We laughed a lot when Fergie got hounded last year, the same is happening to us because Kenny has highlighted how much of a joke the standard of refereeing is in the game earlier this season, and I'd imagine his vocal support of Suarez and slight attempts to put pressure on the FA have probably put the FA on a juvenile mission to show us who is the boss.

We know they're fuckwits already, so nothing they do should surprise anyone.

Football fans need to man up if they're offended by that
This. I mean do they expect to go to a match, hurl abuse and receive nothing in return?
Even 8 year olds flip the bird. It's no big deal. The FA didnt do anything about our Carling Cu scheduling but are quick to sanction Suarez and the club. Its ridiculous.

"@MirrorDarren: The debate begins: 'Dalglish: "FA not setting a good standard appealing against Wayne Rooney's 3 match ban. Was hardly a 50/50 challenge."'"

It's not nothing. Go work in mcdonalds or any other large customer service industry and when a customer gives you Shit respond in kind and see what happens.

When you're an employee of somewhere you represent them and must behave as such. If you dont you can expect to face consequences.

It's not fucking rocket science, and i expect kenny to condemn his actions here then ask the fa to show some consistency in their punishment with previous similar examples.

Well he's done the second bit, but says he hasnt spoken to Luis since the charge.

He's also made comments about a 9 week wait to be heard on the other charge, which suggests that its the FA thats holding it up.

There's a big difference in what Rooney did and what Suarez did, anyone who can't see that is as (what's the opposite of rose-tinted?) dreamy-tinted as Dreamy.

Tbh the FA have done themselves no favours by appealing Wayne Rooneys ban though.
