Luis Flips the Bird - Fulham fans need counselling to recover

Didn't Beckham raise his middle finger and didn't get banned? In fact, didn't the media asked the fans to stop it?

It's stupid that he'll be banned for this, but a short forced holiday will be good for him. He's played nonstop for over a year now. Kenny would have his head ripped off for dropping him for a bit. This lets it happen with no blame for the manager.

Peter Schmeichel done it to the Northern Ireland fans for Denmark years ago, not a thing was said.

It's not really acceptable on camera, but off camera who cares. The only people to see it will be the ones that hear the abuse too.

If he gets banned then I wouldn't blame him for leaving.

The witch hunt against him is a joke, and fergie can fuck off.
The fact that Fergies retirement day is fast approaching is one of the few things that keeps me calm when I see / listen to his purple snoutface

I didn't see it, so as far as Im aware it wasnt broadcasted live.

It's not really comparable to Rooney who went to a camera and swore into it.

Once you include 'anyone pointing a camera anywhere in the ground' I think things have gone too far. Unless everyone who screams obscenities in earshot of a little kid is ejected from the stadium, it's a bit much to penalise a player or member of the coaching staff who does something like this. It's not like Rooney seeking out a TV camera that even he knows is reaching millions. If you click on Lampard in mid 'fingers raised to all sadly departed Lampards' you could get a singular finger shot. To ban someone over a single freelance camera snap is going to open a can of worms.

how flipping the bird can be deemed to be a worse influence on the kids than dempsey shoving his forehead into bellamy's face (a guy who's a foot shorter than him) is fucking ridiculous. it was disgustingly aggressive.

I seem to remember a few of our fans complaining about Jose mourinho putting his finger to his mouth and telling us to "ssshhh" at Cardiff a few years back.

"Inciting hatred" or some other bollocks was the complaint, can't really remember.

Football fans are knob heads. We've all got them.

On the one hand this is total bullshit, and people need to grow the fuck up and get on with it. Its part of the game now, fans (and sometime players) will deliberately try to provoke an opposing player to get a reaction, it goes on everywhere including Anfield. On Suarez part its born of frustration, but I doubt there are too many fans with good enough Spanish down at the Cottage to make any sort of coherent insult that he could understand

On the other hand with a potential ban hanging over him this was a monumentally stupid thing to so, even if he doesnt necessarily get a ban for this he will go on report for it and his previous behaviour is likely to be taken into account when handing out a sentence for the Evra incident (assuming he loses). He really couldnt have picked a worse time to do this, part of me feels sympathetic towards him and part of me thinks he needs to grow up and stop acting like a complete tosser all the time, I mean its something you expect a child to do

Sure its a rude gesture....as was rat face Neville when he danced around like a ponce in front of our fans and nothing happened him for that. Neville doing that to our fans could well be deemed to be even more provocative than any middle finger. In general sticking your fingers up at someone is childsplay. Nothing should become of this. But it probably will because the fa are a bunch of retards!

He's going to get banned for this but it's fucking stupid.

They talk about footballers being role models to kids, but while the kids fathers sit next to them in the stand hurling all sorts of vitriolic abuse at the players, and when the player reacts - not in a malicious or way that's no more than 'unsavoury' - it's these barbaric morons in the crowd that cry victim.

It's why I respect Carragher and Alan Smith (I think) for throwing stuff back at the twats that threw it at them.
Except that throwing a coin back into a massive crowd of people has very little chance of hitting the perpetrator, and every chance of hitting an innocent matchgoer, perhaps even a child.

And it's not really the point that people shouldn't be offended by that sort of thing - I really don't think the average football fan is, other than in a panto kind of way. It's just that Suarez should know what the consequences (rightly or wrongly) will be and refrain from doing it.

Liverpool Football Club have been charged by The FA with failing to ensure its players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion, following the dismissal of Jay Spearing.

The charge is in relation to Liverpool’s Premier League fixture at Fulham on 5 December 2011. The club has until 4pm on Monday 12 December to respond to the charge.

Luis Suarez has also been charged following an incident in the same game. The Liverpool player is charged with improper conduct, in relation to an alleged gesture made towards the Fulham fans at the end of the fixture.

The player has until 4pm on Monday 12 December to respond to the charge

Not that Im biased or anything and seeing this through my Liverpool supporter glasses, but doesnt Utd and Chelsea surround the ref after every desicion that goes against them? And certainly after red cards and penalties. The FA is a shambles.

THAT IS AN ABSOLUTE FUCKING PISSTAKE!!!

And yes I meant the capitals. Man Utd do it routinely, just look at the Newcastle game with the penalty against them. Seriously I'm considering fucking the whole thing off. It's beyond a joke now.

Is this some sort of fucking joke, like seriously?

We should get lawyered up, go in there and fight this like fury. If it goes against us we should take it through the courts. F'ck this for a game of soldiers.

Yes it is a fucking piss take. Fair enough on Suarez being silly, but to charge us for something every other team does when we don't have a habit of it.....FUCKING JOKE!!

Personally I would set the club lawyers on the FA every single time a similar incident occurs that they don't charge that team for.

What the friggin bloody heck are you up to here then, Mr.Windever ?

Another site just posted two photoes of Rooney and Cashley Cole doing similar gestures to fans, and not getting charged.
Surley we can use that whit Suarez being charged?

There are also pics of Utd crowding out referees after penalties, and John Terry trying to take the red card out of the refs hand!!!!!! And not getting charged.
There is so much evidence of others doing the same its laughable.

Stinks. It fucking stinks.

Fuckinging hell

Whats ManU's formation?

10 moaners areound the referee, its the old joke but is oh so true...

I can't believe this, the clubs lawyers are looking into it.....

Regards Suarez, I have little sympathy for him.

Look, if you work in a customer service industry & the customer slags you off, if you then retort like he did you can expect a reprimand of some sort in almost any workplace.

It's no different, in fact it's more severe cos it's broadcast to millions.

The other charge is fucking bullshit though.

Imagines the conversation held at FA headquarters......

FA Tard 1: "Well we couldnt touch Chelsea or Manchester Glorious United in seasons gone by because they're in Europes main competition every season and always battling for the league. Wouldnt want to piss of sir alex would we. Lets just charge Liverpool, a former League and European heavyweight and hope the message filters to the other clubs."

FA Tard 2: "But what if that doesnt work? What if Chelsea and Man U, continue to harass referees?"

FA Tard 1: "Jesus i'm not sure. Perhaps we can wait until Liverpool mess up again...then we suspend all players involved". That'll learn em *leans back in fat cat chair, puffs cigar and reminisces of his youth and having never kicked a football.

Agreed, but seeing players from other teams do the same and not get charged makes it all bollocks. Re Suarez of course.

The most hypocritical thing is that if we appeal anything, we'll get reprimanded for a frivolous appeal by the FA.

The same authority who are appealing the Rooney ban. Tossers.
