I've learned to love Lucas as a person, anyone who loves LFC as much as he obviously does is okay in my book. Unfortunately I have never and probably will never understand how he can be considered anything more than an average squad player. The problem is most of our recent managers see him as something more than that so I want us to sell him just to stop him being selected regularly.

I think its a massive season for him. Hes not a kid, and that half season before he got injured is either the level he performs at or a flash in the pan. If he doesnt hit the ground running this year with a full pre-season he has to be moved on. But he deserves the start of the season to see what kind of player we have now.

Nail on the head here. I believe he'll have a good, maybe even very good season this year, I don't think he'll be quite as good as he was before the injury though.
