Liverpool vs Palace Match Thread

I've counted 3, but agree passing has been poor. And, he has not had any defending to do yet. Too early to get too excited.

I had some streaming problems so may have missed some. Dat cross for Matip's bewildering miss was a doozie though.

Says something about Palace's approach that so many of our players have made negligible contributions and we've still had all the play.

Need a bit of creativity to open them up and get some clear chances.
They only need one decent set piece and they'll win.

Robertson's crossing has been delicious. Milner and Matip have been decent.

Firmino, Sturridge and Mane have been largely meh.

The two-man sitting midfield offers better protection for midfield, but they both need to show more ambition in their passing.

They're shite. We've had so much possession we should have scored at least once but we've been a bit poor with it.

Good job they're so shite!

Robertson has done very well. Firmino has been poor & Henderson has been off the mark too, some of their passing has been utterly woeful.

Hate to say it but Gomez at Rb is not giving us much going forward. I kinda miss TAA. Especially when I saw that set piece hit the wall.

It is good to see De Boer refusing to just put all players in their own box... But somehow I don't think that strategy will win him many friends down there.

I like Gini"s passing through midfield, Firmino looks unhappy out of position.

I'd settle for scoring in the 85th minute to only allow them 5 mins worth of chucking the ball forward at us.

Not sure what you mean unhappy. But he keep his work rate high and has been involved going forward. And after his shit, he was the one following the Palace player on the counter forcing hun to shoot early. I think he solved the role ok .

If Sturridge is going to play so deep away from goal, then he might as well play on the wings and let Firmino play in his favoured position because Firmino has proven time and again he is hopeless out wide.

First half average positions, interesting.

Totally this. We have three good attackers up front but aren't using them to their strengths. Mane has been very subdued too because Palace aren't giving him space in behind to run into.
