Same here - utter bollox, 3 capable defenders and he starts with those two - what a fucking joke, both those other two defenders have had regular football before joining us right ? - what fucking difference does it make today anyway.

actually there is a point - I think we all want to know how good these guys are considering most of us are expecting this team of ours to fuck it up today. Very much hope I’m proven wrong obviously, but not having even one proper centre back on the field and having a midfield similar to the one that really hasn’t been working recently as a result seems a mistake against City.

I get the argument about not playing either of the new centre backs today (seems a little over-cautious, but I get it) but why can’t Phillips play alongside Fabinho at the back and Henderson goes to midfield, where we have really missed him?
