And no fucking Insua, obv!

So my four most hated players don't make the cut!

Yayyyyyyyyy
Knock it back down to 3, eggnog is probably leading the line as a lone striker. Just as I thought Roy was about to win you over.

Oh shit, Eggnog *is* there!
you gave him credit in the europa league. you praised him. so now deal with it

I'm no fan of N'gog, but what option do we have if Torres is injured? I don't think Kuyt can cut it as a lone striker. Just underscores our desperate need of a new striker.

What, so it's my fault he's playing?
yes in as far as you're concerned, yes it is

why is Aqua hated? good player

If true I dont like the fact that Masher is playing, this will be his first game for a while? and his heart isnt in it

He's not hated, Headers. I just don't like him.

He has plenty of fans on here. I'm sure they'll support him when he gets bombed back to Italy at a huge loss in less than 12 months, too.

Lucas doesn't lack heart, really. Just ability.

its hard to tell. i praised lucas the other day when he was captain. made it sound heartfelt cos he was a nice guy. thats teh difference with me, i conned fate into thinking i wanted lucas in the team. the fates conspired to fuck me over by dropping him from the team. not even fate can outsmart dantes

The exciting thing about that line-up is that I reckon it means we won't be playing two holding players. Roy (unlike Rafa) should trust Masher to cover the defensive four, so....

----------------------Reina----------------------

Johnson-------Carra-----Skrtel-----------Agger

---------------------Masher----------------------

------------Gerrard------------Cole-------------

Kuyt-----------------------------------------Jova

----------------------N'Gog----------------------

Subs to include; Torres, Maxi, Babel, Poulson etc

With the players at his disposal, you've got to be happy with that.

I'd have preferred Maxi in with Kuyt up top but you have to say, the absence of shit players is refreshing.
I agree with Bunst it does look a bit bereft up front but aside from Maxi what else could change really?
Good team.
On a side note what was the point in signing Aurelio back. Fucking waste of time.
Aurelio's injured and it looks clear that Hodgson doesn't rate Insua all that highly, which I suppose is reassuring.

I'm far from convinced that N'gog is good enough to play lone striker against Arsenal. He has to be in a 4-4-2 with Kuyt for it to work.
Is he? What was it this time?? Did his pull his finger signing the contract?

It's probably worth mentioning that in-
Cavalieri, The Greek, Aquilani, Maxi, Poulsen, Babel and Pacheco/Kelly we have a fairly quality stacked bench. Remember looking at it a year ago and seeing Voronin, Spearing, El Zhar etc on it.
Lovely stuff.
Need that striker and LB though.

How about Torres?

Subs: Cavalieri, Kyrgiakos, Kelly, Aquilani, Lucas, Maxi, Torres

N'Gog has been doing the business in terms of goals contributed so far, so he deserves a chance. At 1.5M, I think we've done quite well for ourselves.

I'm pleased to see Masher starting. It's hard to see him staying for another season, but we may as well use him whilst we still can.

Here's hoping for a good performance and a decent result.

Maybe he isn't injured? I don't know.

My head makes things up.

Twat!

So if Fabio's fit... well, a) he should start. But if the team's correct and he's not starting, then... he'll be on the bench, I guess. So:

Cavalieri, Aurelio, Kelly, Lucas, Pacheco, Maxi, Torres.

(We don't need The Greek, with three CBs already on the pitch. And we don't need Aquilani because Maxi's a better AM and Lucas is a more reliable CM.)

No, he's not. But I think he deserves encouragement. I'm totally indifferent about Aquilani right now.

Solid team and I expect us to take the Gooners.

A winning start will give us an additional buzz.

agree, am happy n'gog is starting, I hope he continues this little purple patch of his

Difference is, on Sunday he's up against footballers.

Good luck to him though. If a ball's bobbling around in the box I expect him to put it away.

It's quite a good feeling that we will have good players who won't even make the bench tomorrow.

Assuming Cavalieri, Aurelio, Kelly, Lucas, Poulsen, Pacheco and Torres makes the bench we will be seeing Kyrgiakos, Wilson, Aquilani, Maxi and Babel on the sidelines. Bring in another LB, striker and maybe even Masch's replacement we'll have quite a team.

Arse likely to start without Fabregas and with a really pissed off Almunia.

Almunia

Sagna Koscielny Vermaelen Clichy

Walcott Song Diaby Nasri
Arshavin
Chamakh.
