What's wrong with boot cut jeans? It doesn't matter if they're slightly too long because of the widening as opposed to straight cut which bunch up and look a complete mess.

I have no idea and couldn't give a toss what is "in".

I know, and it's such a contradiction with who I am principally. But I can't help it.

Although really, I do just wear what I like and don't think/care too much about what's 'on trend'. I don't buy any fashion magazines, and really can't remember the last time I looked at one.



But re: bootleg jeans, they look awful. They make people look a funny shape. If you really want to kick it old school and keep it simple, surely you'd be wearing straight cut jeans.

I usually wear clothing appropriate for camping, usually a heavy twill. I know that's ridiculous, but it's so god damn comfortable. It's either that or twill or cords, nothing too tight. I especially like pants with a gusset for flexibility, and I like things that are rugged.

For work I wear chinos, dress pants etc. I have a couple nice pieces of tailored clothing (two sports coats and a suit) thanks to travelling to china and knowing the right people. It's all or nothing though mostly, I usually either look homeless or nicely done up, despite my wife's best efforts.

It doesn't help that I mostly work from home.
