My guess is that it will be Kuyt with Suarez playing off him for the next few weeks, and then Carroll will take over responsiilities. Get some wingers on and Diggler in this mood off the bench...fucking hell!

There hasn't been a game this season where we have been more in control. Let's hope it says the same in 2nd half and the goals will come too.

Hmm, what a very interesting first half. Some terrific passing and movement towards the latter half.
But let's not get carried away just because we're looking comfortable in possession after 6 months. It's a good thing we're playing Stoke at Anfield because they're allowing players like Lucas and Aurelio to pass the ball at leisure.
Any team with half-decent pace and strength would have raped this extremely strange looking midfield and defence.
I appreciate what Kenny's trying to do but I hope he understands that we're going to need some stability in shape and personnel sooner rather than later. In fairness, the experiments he's made so far are all presumably his way of finding identifying the best shape and personnel for this team.

I really am starting to think Magic might be the answer at LB even in long term. He's been excellent once again.
I love the bit Kenny intentionally told Suarez to warm up just to rouse the crowd after the atmosphere and our play went a bit stale.

It's attack vs defense with an incredibly unambitious stoke side.

Let's not get carried away. We were shit for half an hour, and good for 15 minutes. Great move by Kenny to send Suarez out for a warm up. Really got the crowd going and seemed to rub off on the players. Hopefully it doesn't take us half an hour to find our feet in the second half, and we can take up where we left off in the first.

It was past Rob Green though, which make it less spectacular than me scoring past my nan in the parents back garden in 1982, straight from a throw in by the rose bushes.

First 30 mins were horrendous. Last 15 was good. More of the same please.
We're struggeling to break them down, and quick passing is the way forward. Pumping the ball from our centre backs towards their goal is just plain stupid though.

Actually no - we weren't shit. However it is an unfamiliar formation so it's no surprise it's taken a little while for the opportunities to come. We look very comfortable out there now.
