Seriously, I know it's frustrating and infuriating but some of the comments here are pointless.


This is Rafa's responsibility to sort out cause its his team and whatever he said at half time had no affect or was of no value. He hasn't turned the team, the game or the attitude around. His substitutions have been awfully poor and forget the complaint that he had nothing to work with - that's his fault.


Having said all that - what's the point of getting rid of him? Do we have someone else who will do a better job? Is there a solution out there that we can get? What are our prospects after paying out our transfer budget to the manager?

We allowed ourselves to get utterly screwed in providing a new contract - now we have to deal with it. Paying him out isn't the solution - it just creates more problems.

Yep that is correct. If we sack Rafa we in breach of contract, if he goes to another club he is in breach - happy medium is pay him for as long as he is jobless.

That was a horrible performance. Apart from the first 30 minutes we showed no fluidity. The players confidence is shot and no-one wants the ball. We are simply moving the ball around midfield, from side to side, there is no width or service for Torres. Even Gerrard looks lost.

I don't know how we turn this around.

I don't think it's that simple, and suspect you're mixing two things up. If we fired Rafa and he sued for damages you'd probably be right, but I doubt very much that's what would happen. He'll almost certainly have something in his contract setting out exactly what we would owe him if we terminate the contract early, and that's unlikely to be something we can get out of.
