What I don't get is why for the most part (perhaps Zidane being the notable exception in recent times) when footballers decide to lose it, they never really go for it.

I don't get it either , I'm not aggressive by nature at all but when i played and something bad was done to me , the red mist would descend and i'd lash out properly , throw a punch etc . It's probably not right but it was a natural reaction and only ever happened 2 or 3 times in yrs of playing . I did get sent off 5 mins after a game was over for "escalating a fight into an all out brawl" but that's a different story .

And what i really don't get is when players are hardly touched how they instantly go down holding their face or whatever . It's like it's a built in reaction or something which i certainly never grew up around . It would be embarrassing to do something like that , everyone would think you were a pussy .

I guess this is probably still the best example of what fannys pro footballers are . They need some training from Dennis Pennis on how to windmill properly .

He's already been booked for the 'incident' as such though, for some reason if you're booked that's all you can do.

Yeah, they've made a mess of the offside rule. The only way you should not be offside, when you're offside, is if you're down injured, or possibly if you have your hands up and are walking back(like in rugby) and you don't get involved again.
