He does. But he's REALLY good. Fabinho is great driving forwards, but I'd trust him all over the lad rather than Gini, & I'd like Firmino to be finding space further up of the two of them.

I saw him in one of their games recently and thought he was quite dynamic and positive. Surprised to see he's only played about 200 minutes this season.

If VVD is out, i would probably prefer to see Fabs in the middle and likely dropping to make a back 3 whilst the wing backs attack. @gkmacca is Hoever injured now? I would prefer to play him at RB that Camacho but it doesn't seem that he is in contention?

Moving Fabs to the middle would mean it is one of Keita or Shaq, and maybe it is more likely that Naby would start - but below is what I would prefer to see. I'm less concerned about losing VVD with Alisson in goal, but I think Matip & Lovren are good enough to cope with an out of form Vardy.

--------------Alisson-------------
Rafa---Lovren--Matip---Robbo
---------Hendo--Fabs----------
-Shaq-----Bobby-------Mane--
--------------Salah----------------

What year is it over there Mark?

Oops, I could have sworn it was last season, I was hammered in town for it, which to be fair could have been any season. We've won the last 3 league games against them anyway, hopefully we learn a lot from the Palace game.

According to Physioroom Fabinho is injured twice 🙂 He, Virgil & Degsy will all be fine I'm sure

I was confident about Trent after some of the 'he was almost ready' comments at Palace. However his photo wearing a knee brace recently concerned me

Well, he's training, but so were Brewster and Gomez until they weren't! I don't think there's a plan to play him this year for the first team, as, for all his prodigious poise, he's still got plenty to learn, but obviously he CAN play if needed.

I'm predicting Trent will also make a surprise return

As Brizzle notes above, he's still, sometimes, seen wearing a knee brace, so for me the risks are too great. Yes, he'll want to play, but is it worth aggravating the problem? At the moment it just needs rest. If he starts playing again too soon, who knows, it might need surgery.

I saw him in one of their games recently and thought he was quite dynamic and positive. Surprised to see he's only played about 200 minutes this season.
With very rare exceptions (Gerrard being the obvious one), I struggle to think of many central midfielders getting a lot of games at such a young age at the highest level, so I don't find it that surprising tbh.

So it could be full strength at back or something like
Camacho
Fabs
Matip
Robertson

Fuck it as long as it’s not Moreno we should be ok.

Gini back is vital too

They obviously read my advice and sent someone out to get him a box of lemsip.

It was probably someone with a car.

I think when somebody has a cold or bug, they just keep them away from the group to avoid transmitting it further. It doesn't mean the guy is on death's door, with rasping breaths and hacking up bloody gobs of lung butter. I'm sure he'd rather have been training but has been told to keep his sniffles at home.

Our source at #LFC has told us that Van Dijk has taken Lemsip & ibuprofen this morning. We have confirmed it’s fine to take Lemsip & ibuprofe together. No side effects. He wants to play tomorrow.pic.twitter.com/YnblcmEcp9

Everything's ok lads.

I saw that on Twitter and it was hard to work out if it was meant to be a joke or not.

Like 90% of the shit on Twitter, given it's full of autism and other assorted mental illnesses

You would fit in well there then.. should spend some more time with it... [emoji1787]

Time to focus on our game.

Leicester have a lot of players I like and I think Puel is a decent coach and some of the criticism he is getting is unfair – he is doing exactly the right thing by changing them from a counter-attacking to an attacking team and the results haven't been too bad either. Maybe it's his stereotypical thick French accent and perceived coldness that makes him disliked in England? Whatever it is, he seems to be on the brink of being sacked and that 3:4 loss to Wolves was absolutely gutting. Even from the highlights it was clear that their biggest weakness was trying to play a high line with 2 slow CBs, Wes Morgan in particular was left for dead whenever a pass was played in behind (there were some absolute world-class passes to be fair). If Puel plays like that against us, they will get destroyed – but surely he won't be so naive? I think they are going to revert mostly to the good old counter-attacking Leicester for this game, drop the defensive line a yard deeper, close down the middle with 3 physical midfielders in Ndidi, Mendy and Choudhury and bet on the pace and trickery of Demarai Grey and Harvey Barnes in support of Vardy.

For us the biggest selection dilemma is of course at RB, since now it's confirmed Trent won't be ready, but I think there could be different answers to this question based on the overall shape and idea. If Klopp wants to match Leicester's shape and physicality in midfield, he could go back to the 4-3-3. In this case, I would use Camacho at RB for some extra attacking flair and I would also continue with Klopp's latest idea of playing Mane on the right. This will make Chilwell less likely to run forward and give Camacho more defensive protection compared to Salah or Shaqiri playing on RW. Firmino would have to play on the LW in this formation, which is not ideal, but it can work as Bobby has a good understanding with Robertson and will have plenty of chances to cut into the middle.

4-3-3:
----------------Alisson----------------
---------Matip--------Van Dijk-------
Camacho-----Fabinho-----Robbo
---------Hendo--------Keita----------
Mane----------Salah-----Firmino--

Subs: Mignolet, Lovren, Moreno, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Shaqiri, Sturridge

The other idea is to stick with 4-2-3-1, not engage in the midfield battle so much and just probe patiently like we've done in most recent games. In this formation my choice for RB would be someone no one so far mentioned as an option – Henderson. Most pundits and fans think Fabinho is nailed-on to play at RB based on his familiarity with this position (according to transfermarkt he's played 105 games as RB compared to 141 in CM, including all his 7 caps for Brazil), but I have doubts whether he has the pace and stamina to play a full-back for Klopp. Henderson certainly does and he's also a good crosser, so I have no doubt that he can do a good job there in a pinch – and I don't think it would be disrespectful to ask the club captain to fill in there for one game; after all even Gerrard played at RB! If the choice is between playing Hendo in the middle and Fabinho at RB or vice versa, I think Fabinho is the one who should stay in the middle.

I'd like to see Keita start next to Fabinho – I really think he's going to be much more effective in the middle as opposed to a winger and almost striker he was forced to play last time out. If we want to find out how good he actually is, we should play him in his natural position – let's not forget he was MOTM at Burnley, which was the only recent game he started in the middle.

4-2-3-1:
-----------------Alisson-------------------
Hendo---Matip---Van Dijk----Robbo
----------Fabinho----Keita--------------
Shaqiri-------Firmino------------Mane
------------------Salah-------------------

Subs: Mignolet, Lovren, Camacho, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Sturridge, Origi

I think he will play Fabinho at RB, and will play Gini Hendo and Keita in midfield. Also I would not be surprised to see him play Lallana instead of Keita.

Tomorrows game will be attack and attack by our lot. Am pretty sure its gonna be like last season but i have a feeling defensively we will be very good.

Playing Fabinho at RB seems no different to playing a CB at RB, as he doesnt have the pace or stamina to play as an attacking fullback. So if we are going to go down that route why not play an actual CB there and be done with it.

The other option would be to play a back 3 and line up more like

----------------------Alison
-------Matip-----Lovren-----Virgil
Gini------------Fabinho--------Robertson
------Salah------Shaq------Mane
--------------------Bobby

If Leicester are going to sit deep and counter it makes sense to have our best attacking players on the pitch which gives us a better chance of retaining the ball and breaking the lines with well timed runs from deep by Mo and Sadio

I take it you haven't seen Fabinho play, then?
