Leicester City throw Puel on the fire!

Not sure what they expect over there, but I don't think their potential is so much bigger than where they are right now.

Ha, like the thread title, even if it doesn't work phonetically.

He's a very divisive manager, & I'm quite surprised they've given up on him so soon. I don't think it helps that their best performances are all away from home, in that the vast majority of their fans don't see close up how they can play at their best, but they have a lot of quality players there & I didn't see anything too hard to fix.

‘We wont be Puel’ed again’

I'd be sceptical about Rafa, simply because this is a squad of players who appear to think that, because they won the title, that's how they must play. Rafa will surely have to bomb out the likes of Vardy and a few others and start again. Then what's he got? That's right - Newcastle. The owners will be better, granted, but, all the same, hasn't he been there and done it enough times now? The reality is, if his family weren't rooted in Merseyside, he'd not have even considered these kinds of jobs.

At the Leicester Post Office one of the clerks have been sent to the warehouse to locate the rest of the brown envelopes they had.

Approach made yesterday to Celtic. Rodgers look to be on his way.
Last Leicester game of the season, Man City..

Neil Lennon supposedly to take over for the rest of the season.

Good move by Brendan I reckon but with his side on the verge of the 'treble treble' it shows just how irrelevant Scottish football is these days.

Leicester is a good fit for him. Can see why he would jump ship to get a chance in the Premier League again.

Couldn't they really wait until the end of the season? It seems a pointless way of pissing off Celtic fans.

He’s probably on 4 times the money at Leicester. Money talks.

Yes. Although common sense ought to have a peep, too. Rodgers takes quite a time to get teams playing to his pattern. Leicester's players have proven themselves the most obdurate bunch of all when it comes to adapting to a new manager's pattern. When Brendan is in control of a team, he's fine, but when he's struggling to shape a team, he's at his most David Brent-like. That suggests from now until the end of the season he'll sound like a nostalgia tour of his worst waffle. By the summer he could have talked himself deep into a cul-de-sac of cliche. That will leave him with no wriggle room while he has to reboot the squad before the new season. If he'd waited until the summer he could have done some of the tough work in relative privacy. Can you imagine someone like Vardy listening to Rodgers? Wankers like that probably cover their mouths and snigger to teammates while the talk goes on. I think Rodgers has been a tad rash.

Vardy will be bombed out in my opinion.

Going there now gives him time to review the squad and where he’d like to make changes.
