Does that make sense though mate? We've not spend a penny we haven't got back from transfers ... Are we that skint? or is FSG that scarred from Carroll?

We've only spent as much as we have in the past couple of years because FSG pumped money into the club. As much as is allowed by FFP. We've made consistent losses for a decade now at this point.

Our hands are tied because of a number of years of shit dealings.

I agree. We ain't spending anything fellas, get used to it.

Meh, I'm just pissed off we've now sunk to Moses when our transfer budget is in profit. I'm sure he would be an improvement on Aspas but it's hard to swallow.

Signing a player that 'will improve the group' and to make a profit on your transfer budget is some slick operating.

I think mildly disappointed that we didn't sign an expensive 'name' is a better overview than 'pissed off'.

If this happens and we don't actually sign a 'name' in the '4 days 11 hours and 57 minutes' that Sky's elapsing time indicator is reminding us, of course.

Onwards and sideways.

Could be another Sturridge type signing just needs games and a chance to express himself, he's got all the tools and the talent to be a top player.

What's all this about a "loan fee"? I don't get this fee for a loan signing. If they want us to pay all his wages, okay, but otherwise they should make up their mind about whether they want to sell him or loan him. £2m plus wages for a season is taking the piss.

Chelsea are said to be open to sending the Nigeria international out on loan but are not willing to sell him.
It has been reported that they would be after a £2m loan fee.

If there's no option to buy and we have to pay £2m+wages then no thanks. Chelsea should just sell, he'll never get a chance there.

We've got money to spend. That I've got no doubt about. Its getting our targets thats the tricky part.

I wonder what they're paying him over there.

I guess a loan would be okay is it's relatively risk free and he's quick and direct, which would work well for us, however the loan fee kinda sticks in the throat a bit. It doesn't look like we're going to get any kind of 'marquee' signing so it'd be good to get someone in. I don't think Sterling and Ibe are ready to carry us on the wings just yet.

50k per week or something like that.

[article=http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2404091/Victor-Moses-left-Chelsea-squad-Bayern-Munich-Super-Cup-clash.html?ico=sport%5Eheadlines]Victor Moses has been left out of Chelsea’s squad for their Super Cup clash against Bayern Munich in Prague on Friday, raising further doubts over his future at Stamford Bridge.

Moses has been linked with moves to Liverpool and West Ham after failing to make an appearance for Chelsea in their opening three Premier League games.

The winger joined the Stamford Bridge club from Wigan last August for £9million.

Moses has been told that Chelsea are unlikely to agree to his sale, but they will let the winger leave for a season.

The chances of Moses winning back his place in the Chelsea team have been reduced by the £32m arrival of Willian from Anzhi Makhachkala.[/article]

[article=http://www.london24.com/sport/chelsea/west_brom_boss_reveals_mourinho_s_plans_for_chelsea_strike_duo_1_2361009]West Brom manager Steve Clarke has revealed that Romelu Lukaku will not be loaned out this season.

The Belgian spent last season with the Baggies and returned to the Blues this summer and he missed the crucial penalty against Bayern Munich in the Super Cup clash.

“I exchanged text messages with Jose three or four weeks ago and he said Lukaku is definitely not going out,” Clarke said.

“He said he was a big player for Chelsea this season and I think he’s right.

However, Victor Moses will be allowed to leave on loan and the Baggies are interested in.

Clarke added: “I believe Moses is available to come out (on loan) and he is a player we would be interested in.

“I can’t say I’m confident of landing any player because time is short and I’m getting a little bit nervous.”[/article]

All over twitter (Guardian, telegraph etc) this is done.

1m fee and no buy option.

the no buy option is strange - we are paying to possibly increase the value of their asset with the potential detrimental knock-on effect to one of our highly prized assets - Sterling. We must be desperate.

can he beat the lofty heights that our last big loan signing (sahin) set ?
