Ok. So my mate (you know Dave) who is Chelsea through and through and was utterly broken hearted about Sturridge coming to us, is baffled by this deal. Totally baffled. He says Moses was excellent in patches last season and most fans felt this would be his breakthrough year into the first team.
His exact words were 'Typical fucking chelsea, nurture them and get them ready to fullfill potential then flog em for the next big thing'

Tell him we'll take Mata instead if he wants.

I see Ros works for Chelsea then.

I think he's a good no-risk purchase. At Chelsea his stats look awful because it says he's played 24 PL games and scored one goal but during that time he only got a full 90 minutes five times. His cup competition record is much better. In 18 cup games (only 8 of which are full games) he was involved in 13 goals (scoring 9 and assisting 4). He was a beast for Nigeria at the African Nations Cup as he was included in the Team of the Tournament, scoring 2 and assisting 4 in five matches as they went on to win the trophy.

Aye purchase/loan...same difference!

Agree, but I think Sterling didn't do too badly, he was up against a very strong Valencia, who even out muscled Enrique a few times.

Sterling didn't do too badly yeah, but holding off players in this manner isn't his game. Holding off players is, however, Moses'.

I'd like a spade, please.

None of our spades are for sale, I'm afraid. If they were, they'd cost £20 each. But they're not.

Oh.

I can loan you one.

Loan? Oh, that's good. Well, I'll borrow one then!

Thank you. That'll be £20. With no option to buy.

Eh?

That's more of a rental then, isn't it?

Chelsea player hire, if he gets scraped we will have to pay for the respray.

My mate (you know Dave) is really genuinely gutted about this. First thing this morning he has started texting me moaning about Mourinho and his shite tactics and defensive play.
I wasnt overly excited but he is making me think this might be a wee belter.

He is good, with consistent starts he could be very very good

At 10.16 last night he was baffled. That it has moved onto being gutted is worrying. By this evening he could be on suicide watch....

"My mate (you know Dave, RIP)...."

No option to buy. But I don't think it's because Chelsea rate him that highly to plan to have him back. Probably thinks it's smarter to place a valuation on him based on his overall performance and impact with us (should we or any buyers turn up with a permanent bid at season end), instead of agreeing on a fixed price (which could look silly and turn out to be a bargain deal for us if he impresses here). The Sturridge deal probably made them 'wiser' this time round.

I'm certainly not convinced by Moses but I'd prefer to judge him on what he produces for us. I'm all for being pleasantly surprised.
