He was excellect. After he scored from the free kick they opened up though, which helped.
But regardless of them opening up, we seemed to start playing in quite a free-flowing manner, which I'd love to see us just go for more often, regardless of the score. It definitely helps create opportunities.
I wish we generally had more faith in ourselves, didn't force players to stick in a ridgid formation and played pass and move football.

He's a big game player in Europe only ... he's no where near that in the league. The last two 'must win' games we've had, he's been average at BEST (Wigan, Brum).
But I agree with Skully ... I think a 4-4-2 next year with Kuyt-Torres and a 'old fashioned' RW (& LW too!) would be great.

I thought he was average/good tonight. I can understand some praise like but this is a bit excessive IMO. When he has a good game there's always threads like this, saying he's great. But he's not. He is an average winger and an ok forward. We definitely need much better

That was Kuyt at his best tonight- he's gritty and determined as we expect every performance but skillful and generally fantastic too. I love him and I guess I always also will.

That's bullshit man. Kuyt is a massive player for us in these kind of games.
I believe he shouldn't play every game against lesser teams(in the league) but he's one of the first names
on the team sheet when you're playing in a big match.
