Possibly about Lovren's wife and an affair. They've published for today's paper, and it's on their website, according to the one line description on google news (I refuse to click through to that shit, or indeed that type of journalism) it's what kept him out of the Euros.

When oh when will footballers stop using tapes? It's 2016 ffs.

Why feckin record it anyway? I don't get it, maybe it's just me but I really don't want to watch myself shag some bird on a screen. A mirror yeah. Sex tapes everywhere from football to Hollywood and then they get all fucking thick when someone gets their hands on it. Fucking morons.

There's a backview photo of a woman, allegedly his wife, in bed with another man. Nothing like Giggs', and he was portrayed as the victim trying to win his wife back.

A little meh, could happen to anyone and not sure many are interested in his private life to be honest.

I find that a bit alarming. It SHOULD be because he's with Liverpool now. Surely that's something every player, let alone manager, gets briefed about really, really, carefully?

Anyway, the reporter present was this bloke:

Antony Kastrinakis. The Nobby No-Mates of sports journalism. He seems to want to appear like a cross between Brian Sewell and a Bond villain. He speaks like he's about to sentence someone to the shark tank, tries to sound really daring by saying silly things such as 'Guardiola was a failure at Bayern,' and 'Mourinho is just very lucky,' and when he appears on TV the look of hate on the faces of other hacks is extraordinary.

I thought exactly the opposite.

The issue is completely separate to the long-standing Sun - Liverpool thing so it makes sense to state that very clearly so that it doesn't get disregarded.

Isn't the sole function of The Lying Rag and similar shitrags to expose things like affairs and stuff? They don't do anything else, apart from cover the sport do they? What I'm getting at is, someone was gonna report whatever is going on in any famous person's life, and they're all fucking vile... so it's kinda hard to cherry pick who to speak to and not just coz of this kind of thing.

Or maybe I'm wrong. Maybe the mirror, express, mail, star etc don't do this kinda thing. I'm pretty fucking sure the mail does it a lot though, nobs are always retweeting their shit into my feed.

It's good man-management and all of that but, primarily, he's Liverpool manager and no Liverpool manager should speak to the S*n, whether it prints good news, bad news or this kind of crap about Liverpool players, so we'll have to disagree about that.

He looks like something that's just been thawed out of a lump of Siberian permafrost.

Have you seen him in action? He's hilariously pompous. He...leaves...lots...of...pauses between words, to emphasise how important his pronouncements are, whilst dismissing any major manager you can think of as a bit stupid. He also seems impervious to the naked hatred that wafts over at him. Take this clip (starts at about 2 minutes) - first of all you get the London cab driver waffle from Martin Samuel, which is bad enough, and then you get Kastrinakis thinking, 'I'm just going to say the opposite,' in a very, very, knowing way, while saying 'I could go on and on and on' when in fact I've run out of examples. I love the cuts to the other hacks - they clearly loathe him. The bloke on the right just looks at him with a 'who the **** ARE you???' stare, while Martin Samuel looks like he's going to plunge the breadknife into him. It's amazing he's not yet been punched.

What a bellend. He has no clue about anything.

I feel like a bit of a lemon here because I actually agree with what he says about Pep, although not as strongly as he does, he gives the impression that Pep broke his sisters heart or something in that video.

He's right saying Pep signing some shite at Barca, because he did. Hleb, Chygrinkskiy, Kerrision, Caceres, and even Zlatan was seen as a disaster by Barca. But if you're at teams where money isn't really a big factor and you can spend what you want without having to worry, I suppose it's not a big issue, and City are exactly the same.
