Yeah, thats what i meant. If its a loan his contract must be extended. I dont think he is interested in a loan mind you. A sale is the best option. With a buy back clause.
Just realised I didn't read your first message properly and basically repeated it. Soz, got a lot going on at the moment.

He wants to be number one keeper, he isn't anywhere near Alisson's level, and Ali is going to be with us for another 4 years ... Not sure how sending Kevin him out on loan resolves that issue unless it's to a top club for 4 years?

It potentially increases his value significantly if we do decide to sell in a year.

His career needs to take off at some point Jurgen...the lads 24, it's clear he's never gonna feature regularly or play near 10 games a season unless we get to domestic finals.

If it makes sense for the club to sell, then we should consider it.

Klopp doesn't like selling players

Unless he can get a shit tonne of money for them and then reinvest that money to make the team stronger and going on to win multiple trophies?

Benteke Sakho Skrtel Lovren Mignolet Moreno Allen Ward Lucas Coutinho Ibe Ings, all sold under Jurgen's watch.

If good offers come in & it makes sense for us, they'll be allowed to leave.....he's even let a few on his own signings in Taki and Grujic leave.

It doesn't matter. Klopp doesn't like selling players full stop.

Thankfully that's what's Schmadtke's here for. To smack Klopp

[article]Republic of Ireland coach Stephen Kenny expects Caoimhin Kelleher to leave Liverpool this summer.

The goalkeeper is ready to depart Anfield in search for regular first team football.

"It looks like he will be on the move this summer, and it can only benefit him because he needs to play games," said Kenny.

"He has been starved of games this year and that has been a problem for him.

"He is very talented, and it is hard to leave Liverpool, such an iconic club. It is not easy to move, there is a process you go through at a club like that.

"The previous season was a success to a degree for him, winning the League Cup and playing in the cup competitions, there were a lot of games.

"They got knocked out early this year so there wasn't much football for him. I think he is ready to go and play regularly, he certainly needs to play as he is not so young now, he is 24.

"I think it will happen this summer. It is not right normally to talk about a player moving, but at Liverpool, he is behind one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

"It is not going to get any easier and you can't improve when you aren't playing."

Is Harvey Davis ready to step up and play in League Cup games and potentially League or are we going to bring in a more experienced keeper to sit on the bench?

Are we sure Alisson is going to keep to his high standard for years to come - I know it’s a bit of a Ross-ism, but isn’t their evidence to suggest there’d be a drop off after 30?

Not saying I’d favour selling him - but we have to replace him at some point - I’d want to be sure Davies or Pitlauga are going to be good enough in a few seasons - otherwise we’ll need to spend big on a keeper in a few years.
When does the world's best keeper at this moment need replacing? Assuming a steady but not dramatic drop off he'll certainly not need replacing for 3-4 years at least (when he reverts to being just a 'very good' PL keeper). Selling Kelleher with a buy-back clause is probably the best move at this time.

How old was Reina when he turned to absolute shit for us and started getting beat at his near post every week?

That’s fair

We just need a mediocre home grown keeper from the Championship as our backup. No need to overcomplicate things.

I presume pitaluga would be promoted to backup, with Adrian as 3rd choice

What has he done to become 2nd choice?

On second thoughts who really cares, Ali playing all the games bar the 3rd rounds v league 2 opposition anyway.

Have you not seen our cup draws for the last decade or so? Prem teams all the way. League 2 opposition is for City.

Its been fairly balanced. On 1 hand we’ve had Arsenal Chelsea Utd City Villa Wolves Brighton and on the other we’ve had Lincoln MK Dons Carlisle Shrewsbury Derby Burton etc

But for me there is many candidates that can be a #2 at many clubs, we’ve won a cup with Adrian in goal….if we can profit handsomely selling our current #2 like we did Ward, Mignolet etc we should take it.
