Time for that scouse boom bust cycle thing.
hopefully this isn't the peak of the boom, I'd like another few pleasant surprises
Time for that scouse boom bust cycle thing.
Given that Sturridge missed most of last season you can add Ings to that list. All four make us player-for-player better than last season. If we add Clyne, which it looks likely we will do...
Then we've got 3 players in Milner, Firmino, and Clyne that walk into the side every week and improve us straight away. These are none of your Luis Alberto's, these are players that make us better from day one.
That's swell.
Yes that's my only worry...the parts are better but the sum is going to take time to settle and that's a commodity the club...and Rodgers in particular...doesn't have.A lot of the same stuff was said last summer too.
Hopefully we don't try and play all the new signings at once again.
So what if he has been quiet? Let's get the business done and then hear from him. I suspect he'll be much more vocal from the official opening of the transfer window and ahead of the summer tour matches. Is it me or has Rodgers been exceptionally quiet regarding the signings? Is he still on holiday?

Rodgers grew up surrounded by sheep in the glens of Antrim, all human faces are strokeable.I can just imagine Rodgers leaving over from his hotel bed, hungover & drowsy
"We've signed who? Firm-een-he-o you say? Brazilian? Hmm, interesting. Send me a picture of his face, is it strokable?"

With the exception of Phil Jones, obviously.
That would help explain it. Although sheep can't say no. So they do have their advantages.I guess that's why all women were shaggable too, eh?

Apparently, according to my brother (who knows shit), this is all to do with fsg and their apparent attempt to replace Rodgers with de boer. It is thought Rodgers will be replaced by the end of June. My brother believes the lack of jibber jabba from Rodgers supports this belief. Is it me or has Rodgers been exceptionally quiet regarding the signings? Is he still on holiday?

Your brother's an idiot.Apparently, according to my brother (who knows shit), this is all to do with fsg and their apparent attempt to replace Rodgers with de boer. Teeth. I like that.We could sign Messi and Ronaldo but we'd still have Teeth playing them as full backs. It's like giving Noddy the keys to a formula 1 car just because he can amble around Toyland without hitting a tree.
Indeed...We've signed Milner, Ings, Bogdan, Joe Gomez and Firmino.
That's some swift, decisive business being done.
And it should be acknowledged
A touch harsh.Your brother's an idiot.
Perhaps. We'll soon find out.A touch harsh.
Wasn't having a go. Just read it and thought it wasn't your type of post.Perhaps. We'll soon find out.
No problem chief. It was tongue in cheek which doesn't always come over so well on the interclacker. It was the bit about the brother thinking Rodgers' silence proved he was on the way out by the end of June that made me chuckle.Wasn't having a go. Just read it and thought it wasn't your type of post.
I don't know enough about the original poster to have an opinion on whether he's got stuff right or wrong before.
Apparently, according to de Boer's brother (who probably knows a bit), he is staying at Ajax for at least the next year and has told his agent not to contact him if there are any offers.Apparently, according to my brother (who knows shit), this is all to do with fsg and their apparent attempt to replace Rodgers with de boer. Delighted to see use of this superb colloquialism (Changed it slightly to the correct and proper phrase) 😉No problem chief.
