Mascherano has a short burst of pace/explosiveness in him though to go with his tenacity, whereas I haven't seen that from Spearing.

If Mascherano wants to go, Rafa would be a nugget to sell? As for his explosiveness, to run 10 yards? Great tackler yes but offers nothing going forward. He needs to improve that facet of his game. Spearing has all the tools and is better going forward than Mascherano. Dalglish replaced Keegan and the rest is history. Hindsight is a wonderful thing!

my option remain the same. point out every flaw that rafa has so that people on here are forced to see the truth for what it is. rafa will not win us the premiership and is losing not just the best of fans but more importantly the dressing room.

What has Daglish got to do with anything? He was an established player that came for a record fee. Spearing comes with no experience from the reserves.
Spearing is a talented little player, but putting him forward as a replacement for Maschareno is just ridiculous.

spearing as got to be one of the most overrated reserves ever. kelly came in and gave a much more accomplised performance than any I have seen from spearing in the first team.
