The FA decided that QPR and Chelsea didnt have to shake hands before the game. But yesterday they seemed to think that stance wasnt necessary.
Rules were broken?? You have to shake someones hand?? Fuck off.

One would have created an incident between English players. The other between Johnny Foreigner.

The absolute uproar this site shows over Tevez's refusal to get off the bench, and rightly so.

Yet on the other hand, we'll happily defend the actions of a convicted, unapologetic racist cheat and his horrendously unashamed manager.

Suarez is an embarrassment to this club, I really cannot believe that he has once again decided to drag this club through the mud with his actions. Im loathe to say this but Ferguson is right we should get rid of him because he is a selfish nasty piece of work

You've had enough warnings Asbo. If you insult someone like that once more you'll be banned for whatever period the mod seems fit.

Your attitude lately has been confrontional, insulting & extremely aggressive & there's really no need to resort to it. You disagree with Ryan's opinion here, yet call him a tit & a twat. It's not on & I won't put up with it.

Its great how the media is acting like its so outraged, absurdly stating how this is damaging to the game, how Kenny is wrong, Suarez a disgrace etc etc when this is clearly exactly what everyone in the media wanted to happen!

If Suarez and Evra had happily shaken hands and got on with it, there would be nothing to report would there?

The way I understood Kenny's point was that he was angry that Suarez not shaking Evra's hand became the story and that this affected the entire match and the result, which to be fair wasn't some blood bath was it? There was the issue at the start, apparently something at half time - presumably not involving Suarez, or we'd have heard about it! - and then Evra's antics at the end - again totally ignored by Suarez, who just wanted to get off the pitch.

Maybe Suarez should have shaken Evra's hand. I don't know, I don't care. But another thing, what would the reaction have been had they shaken hands and then the game had really kicked off?

Along with the riots Fergie said could have kicked off because of the hand shake. RIiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight..

Fucking old cunt of a slimbag. The day he's gone will be a good one.

To be fair to Asbo, Ryan is trolling.

I don't give a damn if Suarez shake the hand of Patrice Evra or not. However he's a prick if he told Kenny he would but did exactly the opposite. It means Suarez is not true to his word even to Kenny who has stayed 100% loyal to him throughout the ordeal. I would sell him then in the summer because he's abusing Kenny's and the club's trust in him.

If.

Or maybe he was going to shake the hand, saw Evra being hesitant, and then rather than being the one that gets refused, moved on quickly.

i've tried to avoid commenting on this whole thing from the start, partly because it's always seemed impossible to accurately judge if he was guilty of what evra accused him of, but i'll say this: if he'd agreed with Dalglish and the club that he'd shake evra's hand then he should've done it. anything else is letting people down.

i don't dislike him and i don't want him gone, and i think one only has to remember the Cantona incident to realise how much spiteful bollocks Ferguson is talking, but i think now's the time for him to just get on with playing football.

I would have thought that Ryan of all people would of shown a lot more understanding towards Suarez regarding these racism accusations.

I do not trust Evra for one tiny second in all this. Suarez hasn't exactly been a saint either, and we still don't know what has been said, but to me it's the former that's the aggressor and the gainer.

The way he managed to connect with Suarez just a few yards before the latter hitting the tunnel, cheering in his face, after having danced around the entire stadium. The way he made sure he got a lengthy 8-game-ban (along with Sir Alex it must've been), and now this.

Everyone can see that Evra is doing his utmost to get an reaction for Suarez and then he's the one being lauded for wanting to shake his hand? This is puke-material.

That anyone here comes on to defends Sir Alex's disrespectful and highly inappropriate comments on the matter surprises me no end to be honest. The FA has made a complete mess of this and Evra and Ferguson has been 'clever' enough to use in his own advance. But now it has to stop.

It's not like he tried to end someones career with a flying tackle or stamp his studs into the chest of an opposing supporter. Or have been taking drugs, or have been buying shitloads of prostitutes etc. etc. If possible Sir Alex's high horse just got a tad taller after all this.

PS For the sake of it we'll probably never know whether something racist was being said (or meant) but you can't crucify one only because of the witness of another - who'll even gain from bring him down.

It's not like there's telly recording him calling someone a 'black c*nt', surely that would've changed the case? That would've called for a severe and proper lengthy penalty, when the evidence is there for all to see?

Oh no, the FA are waiting untill after the Summer Euro's to take care of Terry. Brilliant.

All this reeks of manure if you ask me.

I asked what you would do in that exact scenario, mate.

I know that you don't think him innocent, but he obviously believes himself so... I would blank the cunt too, in that scenario.
I would have apologized in the first place mate. Even if he wasn't intentionally being racist and had no idea it was a racist term, Evra has taken it that way, so apologise, learn your lesson, fall on your sword and this whole thing doesn't go the way it has.

I should know.
Rafa,

Far be it for me to defend him, but I think Ryan already put that one to bed

Evra couldn't lose here. If he didn't shake his hand he would have got "why should he shake the hand of someone who racially abused him?" and we saw the other possible outcome with Suarez not shaking his hand.

I'm beyond caring now, but if Suarez feels wronged and unjustly vilified, why should he shake the hand of the man who has contributed most to his persecution?

No, he hasn't. He and others who share his view have carefully skirted round the "elephant in the room", which is that this was a put-up job from the beginning. Evra's initial words on the subject were a pitchside interview to French television just after the final whistle in which he indicated that what Suarez had said to him was no biggie. Half an hour later that old cnut of a manager of his appears at the referee's door with Evra in tow. Apologise in THOSE circumstances and you're giving those b@stards carte blanche to shaft both Suarez and the club whenever they can.

I'm sorry mate i'm just fed up of people using anything they can to beat Suarez with. He simply refused to shake the hand of (even thats open to debate) somebody he believes to be a lying twat. Where is the crime in that?

So he didnt shake his hand. Big swing of the dick. Who the fuck cares. Evra is a fucking prick of a humanbeing. Who cares what FA "convicted" Suarez for? Fact is that most of these highpaid primitive youngsters playing will say and do almost anything to each other during a game to get the better of the other players. I can only guess what Evra said to Suarez. And the picture clearly shows that Evra was holding back his arm.

I certainly do as well.

But when Evra withholds his hand it's just another way to piss Suarez off. First the 8 match ban and now this. Suarez should've just stood up, looked at him and waited for his hand perhaps, but it's hard not to understand if he was already a bit fired up.

Suarez is no saint and does have some annoying antics about him but it's incredible that Evra's part in all this goes under the radar.

Anyhow you look at it we are certainly the losers here. From players to manager. It's sad.

i agree with ryan. this threads getting raswkish, if suarez had been a united player, fuck even like a sunderland player or something, not one person here would defend him. now i get the fact that he's a liverpool player but how much protection does that offer him? i dont think that much really, if he was shite we'd be demanding his head, it just seems to me at the slight suggestion of success a lot of liverpool fans throw morals and respect out th window, its pretty low really.
