My view is that in order to retain your self-respect, you have to stick to what you believe in and not take the easy option of just going along with the herd.

If you think Suarez should have been found guilty and banned for 8 matches you're wrong.
If you think Suarez was right not to shake Evra's hand before knowing he had promised to do so, you're right.
If you think Suarez should have shaken Evra's hand after promising his manager and the club he would, you're right.

Why should this debate stop ? - I think its brilliant - its ripping the shit out of all of us - turning against each other. Just remember ONE thing .... we all love this club. I have been reading this thread and the other one for the last few days and it should go on and no-one should get banned for pointing out their views. If your for Suarez it don't mean your racist, if your against him - it doesn't mean anything bad either if you believe he should have shook the guys hand when he promised that to the club. On the face of it - he was wrong to let down the club - but under the circumstances and the way that Evra was looking at him when he approached him - I am glad he did not shake the guys hand.

An old math teacher once asked me - "what language do you think in ?", and given that he is from a country where certain things stand and are not seen as racist - he was probably shocked by the ban and all hoo-ha surrounding the incident - the lad just wants to play footie day and night. He doesn't want any of this crap and be labelled a racist - but he is because someone who should of known better decided for whatever reason to make a pigs meal out of it.
