If Not Suarez .......

It'll all simmer down soon enough. It's just on the boil right now.

A few weeks, and a few PR photos and it'll all be back to closet canibalistic normaility

It's because he has to spend so much time talking to Claire Rourke. After gazing at her skeletal frame the sight of anyone with a bit of substance to them makes him peckish. Try it: stare at a chicken bone for ten minutes. I guarantee you you'll bite the postman.

To be fair, Suarez and Claire Rourkes teeth do look rather similar.

Suarez is a 100M player or at least that what he is worth to us. We must play hardball at the negotiating table as he is the mainstay of our attack.

And how do we do that when his contract (according to everyone) has a buyout clause in it ? Meet that clause and the talking is over.

No, you're wrong. We give them the Gooner treatment. Meeting the clause allows for a conversation only in my limited understanding, it does not compel us to sell. We hold all the aces with Suarez having signed a new deal.

Sorry Roland but that is not how it works - I mean like seriously you think it does ? That is what the Buyout clause is for .. so the player can leave if he wants and so the selling club are properly compensated for their loss. There is no conversation if e.g the buyout is £80M and the buying club plonk £80M on the table. Now if there are conversations re. Sanchez etc. that is another matter. All that would depend on the actual wording but we have no right to hold on to him if the compensation figure is met.

What do you think to the idea of going for Robben? I think they would take £10m for him. He is good for two more seasons me thinks, and has always been one of those players who score crucial goals. Just like Suarez he knows how and when to go down in the box.

Replace one cunt with another. I'm all for it. He's 29 now so reckon we could get 3 seasons worth out of him

10m? Is he in the last few months of his contract?

I was listening to someone talking about him on the radio yesterday, I think it was that Italian named, American sounding journalist whose name escapes me. He said basically Robben is very happy with the medical and training staff/setup he has around him and is wary of moving elsewhere and not being the same player if he loses that. Therefore he'll stay if he cannot bring the trainers, doctors, physios he feels are important with him.

Despite him being a bit divey and stuff he's always great when I watch him.
