But wanting to leave, and actually leaving are different things. And if no-one makes us a viable offer then I'd say Suarez will continue terrorising defences with the same vigour he always has. He's one of the top players in the world and wants to be at a club at the top table. It isn't surprising.

What doubt is there ?

The doubt is whether he will actually leave or follow Gerrard's example and stay.

But as this is a Iago Aspas thread, and there are multiple Suarez thread I suggest we stop discussing Suarez on this thread.

I'm excited at this signing. I think he's going to be a fan favourite. He never stops working and has real quality.

So what if Gerrard nearly left. I still think he's a cunt. Just a Superbly talented one. Like Suarez. Except Suarez will probably leave as a superbly talented cunt.

If he stays, wonderful. Its good for the club as he's a good footballer.

All football players are cunts unless they prove otherwise.

Players come and players go, the difference is how they come and go.

Aspas said: “I’ve not had the chance to talk with the manager at any length just yet but I think that good players can slot into any role and not just one set position.

“I am a quick and skilful player and together we will achieve a lot of success.

"I’m really happy to have come to a big club like this one – it wasn’t a tough decision at all because a massive club like Liverpool was always my first choice.”

Rodgers on Aspas: “His most prominent attributes are his first touch, his agility and his dribbling.

“His small stature gives him an extremely low centre of gravity which allows him to jink past players just when it looks certain he’ll be dispossessed. He has blistering pace, too, while his finishing has substantially improved in the last two seasons.

“He is known for his aggressive nature and determination. He works for the team and will fight to regain the ball if he is dispossessed.”

Liverpool managing director Ian Ayre revealed that Rodgers had identified Aspas as a key target months ago – and insisted the spending will not stop there.

Ayre said: “He’s a great talent, one that Brendan identified a long time ago.

“The scouting network and everybody else have done a lot of hard work to get him here.

“As we’ve always said, we’ve got our targets and will work as hard as we can to bring them in.

“It’s always about getting the right players and the right deals for both sides.

“There’s a lot of work going on and hopefully we’ll have some more success.”

They're figuring out what song we should sing for Aspas on RAWK.
Best effort:

To the tune of Old McDonald.....

Iago Aspas scores a goal
ee - ah - ee - ah - GO

From Celta Vigo To Liverpool
ee - ah - ee - ah - GO

With a pass pass here and a pass pass there
here a pass, there a pass
everywhere an ASPAS

Iago Aspas scores a goal
ee - ah - ee - ah - GO

I shudder to think what the worst effort is...

It means I think he's skinny compared to most footballers of late (who tend to be less skinny).

A bit like your little winky.

Neither one of us know what you are talking about.

Half the Spanish national side are "skinny".
