We love it, yes. But it's irrational love.

I mean, some of our top Doctor's and nurses, who save our lives ,have to work a full year, to get some average cunts weekly wage. Like me and you have to get up every Monday fcuking morning and work our arses off for 48 weeks out of 52. These players live on a totally different planet to us.

I don't know why kids are told to go to school/uni anymore? They'll only come out with huge debts. Education in this country doesn't pay much if you're average. Just take them down to the local park each day, and tell to pass the ball sideways and make the odd taclke here and there, and it 10years they'll be playing centre midfield for Liverpool!

I just hate the fact we end up talking about the finances and interest payments and business models and yadda blaa.

It was really interesting and intriguing watching the court case events unfold and it really was great drama (and even better cos we 'won') but last few weeks its all about whats going wrong with the game. Players talking about leaving cos the club that made them who they are doesnt have the same ambition as them, it takes the piss and though I'm laughing at the Rooney situation its happened to us before, and I think it will happen to us again in the near future with Torres.

The media end up 'making' the news stories, and then the manager has to address the made up story and then it becomes a real story cos now someone at the club is also talking about it. The quote from Coach Carter when he talks about the boys disrespecting the game he loves resonates with me when it comes to stuff like this!
