I hate to be the kill joy here...Thierry was my favourite premiership player when he was here, but you can see the effect he must have had over Arsenal when he left.

1. He was the number 1 dominant player and he stifled the creativity of others.
2. I feel that we had a similar player in Stevie...Smicer, Biscan and Cheyrou were stifled in the same way as Fabregas and Hleb...we never got shot of Stevie...not saying it was right or wrong.
3. Stevie still dominates to a degree, although with Babel and Torres, we have 2 players who can shine also.
4. He may be a success here, although at what cost? Anything over 10M and I would be worried.

You have got to be ABSOLUTELY fucking joking.

Henry was undoubtedly the dominant player at Arsenal, which was obviously a product of the length of his tenure there, and the fact that in most quarters he was rated as having become the best player in the world. Liverpool would be a completely new start for him, and you would expect him (given the reverance he has shown to the club's history and tradition so far) to come in with the right attitude.

He has looked after himself, but will obviously be more injury prone now, and you would expect to get 3-4 years service out of him. 10m looks fine to me when you look at what other options there are around (hmmmm, Kuyt at 26 or Henry at 31?!).
