It was the best I'd seen him play in a long time . Hopefully he continues this form against Chelsea !

Speaking of Chelsea, can't get my head round how they stole Kante totally unopposed. Imagine having Kante instead of Horrendeson. Bummer.

I seriously doubt we'd have had any chance once they registered their interest. As things currently stand, other than joining the Chavs he'd only have gone to Manchester IMO. Our first task is to get back among that company on a regular basis. Then we can start going for the Kantes of this world.

Makes no sense either. We've got lot lowest wage bill in ages, highest revenue, lowest net spend. Should have been in the hunt

I'll bet we considered it. If the club decided it wouldn't fit our longer-term plans to match the Chavs' offer, I don't feel in a position to dispute that.

Utd made a move for Kanté aswell, and I'm guessing loads of other clubs.

Massive wages, and lets face it, they're usually in the CL and fighting for the title.

Fair enough, but I do.

I think even without CL football they are going to be a massive draw. London, wages, success rate. On the face of it they're out of Europe so that should put them on a par with us, but it doesn't. They generally employ good managers and buy top players, so players are always going to look at them as a bigger chance of success.

We were offered Kante and decided not to make a bid. I started a thread on it a while back.

Me too dude.

I think we'll beat them. But then again I'm a blind optimist, so my opinion ain't worth much.

Oh, and to say Hendersons only attributes is his energy and athleticism is naive, Henderson, alongside Milner, is our best passer of the ball, he's got a fantastic range of passing, he's also superb at picking out a runner with a delicious through ball, as we saw yet again yesterday.

Henderson is our best long range passer. With only Can coming close. Its something Milner isn't so good at.

Wow, that's impressive. He should be in way more MOM top-3s with that kind of performance.

He also created the second and fourth goals with excellent long passes. It was an excellent performance. The only problem with him playing so deep that we don't see him gambolling when someone is about to score.

If you look at that timeline you'll discover three things

1) there are equally glowing cherry picked stats about everyone
2) she's American
3) she's a girl

Yeah, but putting the stats aside, he was terrific yesterday by any reasonable assessment.
