Barcelona are prepared to listen to offers for Icelandic striker Eidur Gudjohnsen.

The experienced frontman is under contract at Camp Nou until 2010 but has been informed that he does feature in Pep Guardiola's plans for the future.

Therefore, Barca have revealed that they are willing to part with the 30-year-old for the right price.

It is reported that an approach of around €5million would be enough to lure Gudjohnsen away from Catalunya.

That valuation has not been matched as yet, but interest in the former Chelsea ace is mounting.

A number of clubs in England are believed to be tracking the situation with interest, while Turkish outfit Beskitas are said to have made a tentative approach.

While Barca are hoping to generate a fee for Gudjohnsen, they are also alive to the possibility of using the striker as a make-weight in their efforts to bring in their own top targets this summer.

For 5mil, I would. Can play up front, Gerrard's role, has played, at times, on both flanks. Getting on a bit, but cheap and proven.

Haven't seen him regularly for a very long time (has anyone?) but I thought he was immensely skilful and intelligent player in his Chelsea days.

How's his fitness? Is he fucked?

He's been a decent squad player for them.

The only problem is that he could only really play the Gerrard role in our formation or alongside a strike partner in a 4-4-2. That might be a little too specialized for our purposes, but if not, yeah he's worth a punt.

Then claimed it had been deflected...

It has been deflected................by God.

Had it been an inch or two (literally) further left OR right, it would have gone in, either directly or via drogba.

Incredible miss.

I was already on the floor, my knees having buckled... I didn't even see the shot. I just knew he would score. He couldn't miss.

Do this day, the replays of that dread fill me with dread - I still expect him to score.

We should at least wait until we saw the sales prospect. It would be good to read 34 glossy pages on all his form and statistic before we cried out for his signature!!

Glad it isn't just me who reacts to it like that. I get the same heebie-jeebies watching the last part (i.e.after we equalised) of the Final.

Ace, isn't it? 8)

I dream about that shot sometimes.
