€40 mill?!

So Bayern basically doubled their money and he didn't play that well for them.
It can't be right.

He was signed with 1 year left on his contract; that’s normal. We will also at least double our money on Carvalho, for example, despite him being frozen out.

I mean a tribunal set the fee for Carvalho so we better get double.
Oops we bypassed it and paid them in the end, right? Oh well.

Klopp has been after this lad since the start of the transfer window. Maybe the Lavia dicking around was because we were getting info that Bayern could be tempted to sell.

Yeah, we clearly had Gravenberch in the back of our mind during the Lavia negotiations and that’s why we were reluctant to bid more than we thought he was worth. The problem is we had to wait for Bayern and Gravenberch himself to make up their minds in order to make a move. Hopefully all is well than ends well now.

Klopp will walk into the press conference room tomorrow with big dick energy.
"Never ever tell me that I need to sign a midfielder again".

Found these on youtube from the U21 euros this summer, no cringy or annoying music, short and shows every touch:

Gives you an idea of what type of player he is.
Despite being a bit negative, if Klopp manages to bring back the Ajax version of him and even improve him sightly, I'll be over the moon.

Medical tomorrow.

Happy that we have a long term target. Wish he was a DM though.

Anyone object if I call him Gravy Boat?

Well, in dutch "G" is pronounced with that ch-sound one makes before spitting.
So it's more like the Spanish "J" in Jesus and I don't mean like "Hey-sus".

CHraFenberch.

I hope he helps us get back on the Graven perch.

I think the main thing is, with all our old shit leaving and with all these kids coming in, along with Badger and the Donkey, then Gakpo, Jones, Ibou... It's a proper young side that Klopp could turn into his next bunch of serial winners. Even TAA, Diaz and Jota are just coming into their prime.

I didn't think we'd be here in May. Very good window.

Be nice if we got a defender, but I think we're done l. Endo can, and has, played there many times

You think a cb makes it an excellent window ?

From what I've read and seen:

Cons -

Not great in the air or tacking, but decent at interceptions.

Not creative in the final third, although can pick a pass if a clear one opens.

Doesn't consistently impose himself on games.

Playing him as a sole six or alongside Trent would be suicide.

Pros -

Decent first touch and control, takes it well on the half turn, and has the pace, acceleration and strength to get away from players.

Decent at spreading the play with accurate and pacey crossfield passes.

Decent dribbler, although I can get ball stuck between his feet and overrun the ball.

Decent ball striking... A bit like Gakpo, but it's not seen enough.

----------

Bayern fans are happy with the fee and he's alienated the fan base and club with the amount of interviews he's given, although many maintain he's still a highly talented player and felt they could have made it work had things been different. Ultimately though two decent managers have assessed him as a squad option at best.
