We need a new goalkeeper, I think we can all agree on that.

Victor Valdes has badly fallen out with LVG. He was signed on a free but would presumably cost money to extract from United. Maybe they'd be happier to keep him to deprive us of him, maybe not.

I don't know that much about him but if he was top choice in Barcelona for a long time he must be used to getting attacks going quickly and distributing at pace.

He can hardly be worse than Simon Mignolet...

Valdes' main problem is that, though a good keeper, he's not nearly as wonderful as he thinks he is. We have enough problems getting the team right without some @rsehole like Valdes stirring up extra trouble. Do not want.

Heh, Ter Stegen is a quality goalkeeper. A few mistakes doesnt change that.
But that wont happen regardless.

I like Claudio Bravo though. If he doesnt get many games at Barca this season he might be looking to leave.
Rulli at Sociedad looks a very good goalkeeper. Will be the next Argentinian first choice GK and is on loan for this season, as well as the previous one. Could be a good signing.

The Germans have loads of supposedly good keepers at present - Ron Robert Zieler, Ralf Fahrmann, Bernd Leno, Timo Horn, Loris Karius, Oliver Baumann. That's not counting Neuer, ter Stegen and Trapp who're already at big clubs. Don't know which of them is really good though.

Anthony Lopes at Lyon is one who gets a lot of good reviews.

I like Oblak who Atletico replaced Courtois with. They're not averse to selling either when it comes to important players. Definitely time for an upgrade though regardless of who it is!
