Fulham Pre-Match

I think one of my all time most loathed pet hates is someone using hillsborough to justify a point completely fucking unrelated to a police botch job in a falling down unfit for purpose stadium with inadequate stewarding and a host of culpable figures of 'responsibility'

'You think we'd know better........'

Fuck off.

Especially when the real issue amounts to a few lazy buggers who can't be arsed catching the bus. Or walking 20 minutes from a train station. Fan safety, fuck off. Worn out and injured players more like.

I went to the Fulham game a couple of years ago and I could swear the overground was the best option anyway.

I'll be fucking livid if they get away with this. Jon's right, we should just taxi the stewards there ourselves. No fucking excuses.

Surley the FA wont allow it because two other London clubs are playing, there are replacement buses and trains, the tube is actually running but with less service and Fulham have had a month to plan for it but wait until 48 hours before the game after playing 120 mins vs Sheffield Utd and a tough game ca Utd? Surley?

Oh wait, its the FA. Its off.

Meulensteen and Wilkins seem a strange couple of coves. They'd been winning at OT for so long, and then as soon as they suddenly went 1-2 down they were standing there having a good old laugh together. They've probably put a bet on the next game being called off, the rascals.

Can you afford just £3.20 this wednesday to get poor Dave to Craven Cottage?

Dave and hundreds like him have to walk for over twenty minutes to get a look at that fucking stupid Michael Jackson statue...

I think this game starts the the last part of the season as 1/3rd, exactly last 13 games to go starting from this game. So we better start building up for the end of the season in style. Although we have not expected us to be where we are right now, it is time to recalculate the targets and push a little higher so that we will be even at more distance from the other top 4 contenders.

Well I am not sure what kind of style Fulham play but it seems like we seem to do better defensively when hunt for the ball like a pack of wolves like we did against Arsenal. I think there are enough examples where we have already learned that we can not be lazy just because they are Fulham. And I think we will put a decent performance, so lets just hope we come back with three points.

I dont give a fuck about tubes and their babies, this game is happening.

So, this rail strike was announced on 10th Jan, yet Fulham are only putting plans in place now?? LOL

Nothing to do with their players being fucked after playing at Old Trafford, and their record £12m striker not being properly fit...nah.

They can fuck off, and the Premier League dare not fall for it.

Look at the positives. It'll be live on the telly and not on some dodgy stream also I won't have to be up til 3am to see the game.
Im in Bali btw

Exackerley.

I remember reading somewhere that we are currently the highest scoring team for 1st halves this season, if I'm not mistaken, in Europe too. That's our style. It works. With devastating effect too.

Let's blitz them, throw the entire kitchen sink and then hopefully we'll have won the 1st half by so big a margin that we can afford to rest players in the 2nd half. And never ever chop and change a winning team, especially one which is on form. It's basic 101 of any management book.

Ferguson, Mourinho, Benitez, Heynckes and Guardiola would disagree with you. Maybe they are so successful because they don't manage by the "football management 101" book.

Is it true that the tube strike starts at 9 pm? An hour after the game has started. So in reality they need to get their stewards home after the game if true.

If they get it called off its such a joke they should be relegated to the conference league.

London kinda grinds to a halt with no tube service.

So on Boxing Day when there is no overground or tube, they still manage to put a game on. On Weds there are two overground stations within a 20 min walk of the ground, plus buses.

If I know there will be a congestion I leave earlier. Its not like its being sprung on them, they've know since Jan 10th.

No other game in London is under threat. Why Fulham?

didnt these fuckers play at home last week during the tube strike - utter bollocks - the nearest tube is miles away anyway.

That's not true. Putney Bridge Station is a 10 min walk to the ground and Parsons Green is a 20 min walk.

Fuck off.

This. So much this.

Wouldn't mind, but it's not even an issue about whether the fans can get there, they're using the health and safety aspect (conveniently) to suggest that their staff are incapable of using the nearby overground stations, or taxi's, or bycycles, or cars....

And no doubt the FA will let them.

I don't see why somebody can safely use the tube and not safely use a train or taxi. Does. Not. Compute.

I'd be very surprised if the FA grow some balls over this, though I suppose it depends which way they're politically swayed.

I actually expect the FA to let Fulham know this isn't acceptable behind the scenes, but perhaps I'm being naive. The FA doesn't like fixture congestion and reorganising games.

To be honest the tube side is less of a worry for me for going to the game tomorrow. I worked in london yesterday and had a mare trying to get out of paddington towards Reading as Maidenhead is flooded. I might not be able to go tomorrow now regardless of tubes

I've tweeted John Henry to tell him to offer to pay their stewards taxi's. Hopefully he or his lacky may read it.

Massive long shot but you never know.

9pm tonight mate.

Some Fulham twat on twitter trying to say our attitude towards this is why Hillsborough happened. There really are some dumb pieces of shit on this planet.

Whats wrong with the M4 straight to Hammersmith and then up the Fulham Palace Road?
