He bought them, and he is building a team with them. Thats a fact. I was thrilled with the arrival of carrol as many others. I was meh about Downing and Adam, but They can both do a job.... going back to kenny and whether he 'deserves' another year, clearly not but you'd hope if given another year he would learn from his mistakes. you'd hope kenny has a plan and that his signings are working towards that plan, I refuses to believe kenny is just throwing shit at the wall and seeing what sticks.
well after this disasterous season he can look at the squad and see the players with the ambition drive and most importantly skill to take the club forwards. you'd hope that after a terrible season kenny will learn from his mistakes (and personally I think he has made a lot of mistakes).
you could of course just throw the baby out with the bath water and start from scratch. we are so far away from where we want to be I don't even know if that's a bad idea anymore but my main point is I think kenny has learnt a lot from his players this season with regards of who to keep and who to move on.
