Has had inconsistent start, as he is Brazilian it will take time for him to adapt. Remember when Coutinho started he struggled.

I remember being very impressed with Coutinho when he came. His laser like through balls. Also remember an outstanding performance against Newcastle away when we dicked them 6-0. Firmino has had one great performance and the rest has been meh. Hopefully he comes good.
I really, really REALLY hope so. I'm tired of seeing players come here with big price tags and be just totally shit.
Markovic, Allen, Balotelli, Aquilani, Carroll, LOvren, Downing.....urgh.

Not really. All managers have at least one or two players they rate that they shouldn't. There's a few Dortmund players I wouldn't want at all, that Klopp clearly rates. Or did.
It was said more tongue in check mate. As in I'd trust Klopp with just about anything right now.
If you've seen Firmino play for Hoffenheim then you should know what he's capable of.
He also fits into the style Klopp wants to install aswell. German journos described him as the perfect Klopp player.
Just give him time.

That is a big "no no" for a Liverpool player; you've got be something VERRRRRRRY special if you're a shithouse.
He didn't do that in the Bundesliga though. We definitely need to give Klopp time to work with him.

Didnt see it tbh. Havent seen him shy out of any tackles so far. His work rate etc has been very good.

Kagawa is boss. Utd played him out of position most of the time, nor to his strenghts.
Some players just aren't suited to the Premiership. He wasn't very good at all.
Think that story could have been different in another team.
Firmino made more tackles than any other att mid or fwd in the big 5 leagues last year.
Fair comment, but Firmino arrived in poor circumstances. Rodgers was beginning to struggle, and Firmino - when he got a game at all - was stuck out wide, which has never been his position.
I think it's worthwhile analysing who Firmino is playing with in order to gauge his effectiveness.
I said before the start of the season that none of our AMs' qualities mesh well with Benteke's, and Firmino is no different. Like Lallana and Coutinho, Firmino doesn't have great pace, and is therefore primarily a passer than a 'runner'. That's just not going to work with Benteke who doesn't provide much off the ball movement, or any runs behind the defence.
You look at Firmino's starts in the last 7-8 games, and the ones he's struggled in are the ones he's started with Benteke:
Rubin Kazan (A)
Bordeaux (H)
Swansea (H)
Newcastle (A)
The one's he's shone in are the ones where he's been played as a central pivot/false 9 - surrounded by mobile players (Coutinho, Lallana,Origi, Ibe, Teixeira)
Bournemouth (H)
Chelsea (A)
Man City (A)
That's not surprising to me. I don't think Firmino is suited to playing behind Benteke at all (it may perhaps work if Firmino were to partner Benteke in a two-man attack in a diamond, but that's another discussion). In the present set up, Benteke doesn't make any runs, and Firmino doesn't have the pace or explosiveness to exploit Benteke's flick ons.
I think in the long run, Firmino's best position will be as a false 9, or as a partner to Sturridge or Origi in a two-man attack. He needs mobility around him to be effective basically.

I'll admit to only having seen kagawa a handful of times for dortmund, but he looked a very good player to me.
Not just him...in general we have struugled against physical opponents.
Midfield is especially weak for us in this regard....without Coutinho we are not able to compensate that with skill.
