I'd take him on loan until the end of the season, that's about it.

Won't happen, though. We won't, and shouldn't, sign him.

When it comes out that he was on a deep undercover mission to make us loads of money and sabotage Chelsea (all the time knowing he would become loathed by the very people he loved) some people are going to feel like proper cunts.

Ha. That's the spirit.

To quote the current forum meme, 'BRING HIM BACK!'

bring him back, he knows he made a mistake, it has been clear from his body language for months he knows he fucked up!

There must be examples of this where a player comes back, when he knows he screwed up, for god sakes Steve Gerrard was hours away from doing the same as Torres, if he had gone would we have welcomed him back?

Rest of the season loan with an option to buy him if he scores on average .75 goals in each game ( is that 4 goals every 6 games? my maths is shite ) if Chelsea will make up the difference in his wages....

Buy him for £20-25mil in January and get him scoring again, then sell him back to the chavs in the summer for £50mil.

First 25 games for each club (comparison)

So his conversion rate for us was pretty low too, shows he wasn't that good a finisher for us and we just set him up a lot more than Chelsea did. Again shows that he wouldn't solve any of our problems.

Just to emphasize though, that the LFC stats is for his 1st 25 games with the club. its a 1st 25 at Chelsea vs 1st 25 at Liverpool comparison.

In his last full season at Liverpool he produced a goal every 95.3 minutes with a 29% chance conversion rate.

Asked about a return for Torres, Kenny said he won't speculate on LFC players or other teams' players.

Andre Villas-Boas on reports that striker Fernando Torres will be sold in January: "It's not true. He is not available at any price."

They're just hiding the truth!

Who'd buy him on the evidence of the past two years of playing? No one with any sense, surely, just sentiment.
[/quote]

Was it sense or sentiment that got Kenny a return?

Certainly it wasn't his record after Blackburn.

I'm not saying that was a bad decision, like the possibility of reinvigorating a declining Torres.

However, it simply won't happen. Torres will never play competitive football in a Liverpool shirt again.

Trufax.

To be honest stranger things have happened in footy than Torres returning to the Reds. I can actually see it happening. Why not? It would be tough for him - no doubt but can you honestly see any reds booing him?

This is what would happen I reckon. Before his first game back loads of reds will be chuntering away saying 'Why have we taken him back?' 'He's a traitor', 'He's shit now' Blah blah blah - Then he steps out on the pitch again and a section of the fans start singing the 'Torres number 9' song. This swells to an ear splitting creshendo where the entire ground are singing his name. - None of this goes unnoticed by Nando himself who has a massive grin on his face and then goes on to score a cheeky brace. Queue instant forgiveness and embarrassed Chelsea fans who fear some kind of undercover sabotage theory.

Won't happen though..... Will it? 😛

Well he couldn't be 'Liverpool's number 9 again', someone else already has that number...

'somebody else' Women are cruel and thats the proof 😉

Number 4 is available and so is number 12 - Doesn't quite have the same ring to it though...

Won't happen because we don't play Chelsea until May, and players who return always have to face their old clubs in a big showdown in their first match, where they either score and have a great game or they lose miserably and have a complete 'mare. Its the law.

I like Gerrys' Fernando Torres Liverpool greatest whine'

Just went and watched all his LFC goals.

Oh what he was. After his first year 50 m would have seemed a bargain for anyone.

I feel bad for him. I hope he gets a move out of country and finds some form again.
