One of the lads I was at the match with yesterday usually gets tickets from Downing and he said Downing told him he wouldn't be able to get the tickets for him anymore as he's going to West Ham.

There may have been an element of calling their bluff in terms of "we want to sell but not any cost".

Has this Downing to West Ham thing actually been proven to be legit or is it just gossip at the moment?

But I'd say someone who hides in the big games and actively doesn't want the ball (as was the case at Old Trafford) doesn't in fact signify a "first class attitude" for a footballer.

Carroll wasnt sold for a 35m loss. He cost us 35m.
We sold him for 17m thats not a 35m loss.
