I know I know the stats are decent. I just don't like him. I'm being a little irrational. I feel I should be moaning about at least something.
I just don't like the idea of blowing a decent amount on a 29 year old player that has basically had one good season mate.
If he signs then lets all hope he can produce that form for us.
It's in loads of threads mate, a quick google and you'll find it too.
It's a good return, but how many strikers have had good returns for small teams and moved to a big team, and then struggled?
I knew about him. Some chelsea fans I know we're pissed off he went for so little as they thought he was good enough to play more.

He's better than what we've got. Getting Borini and Dempsey for Carroll sounds interesting to me.
If it's 7 million, i'm ok with it ... but that's max fee imo before it starts 'pushing it.' I still have hopes for one of those talented Dutch kids (Nasringh, Strootman etc)

I just don't see it. Barca and Arsenal spring to mind who have run out of ideas without plan B when plan A doesn't work. Admittedly, its been a rare occassion.

I was a huge PAcheco supporter before but I can't really judge him when he never really got the chance to play for the first team. He was immense for the reserves.
I think Borini will be a fan favourite. Still can't get excited about Dempsey, though. I mean, he may improve us for a year or so, but then what? He'd have to be really cheap for us to even consider it. Plus, as an aside, I've always thought he was a total bellend.
What would you do if Dempsey was the difference between obscurity and a return to CL football? A year or 2 is all we may need from him.

Its weird when you look at the two on paper. what has Borini done to deserve you being more excited about him than a proven EPL finisher?
Why did Chelsea not want him and why has no other top club come in for him.
You are being harsh on Dempsey there fella, on paper he is a better prospect to do well for us
Is it because borini has a more glamourous name 😉
