Everton (A) Build Up

Over 200 yards doesnt really help much though does it?
"He's a great asset to the team when he can run the entire length of the pitch, twice". I doubt that has been said many times.

So Sturridge will be back in the squad and sounds like he might get 20 minutes if the match allows.

Christ is there any game someone on here isn't 'really worried' about ? We could be playing Doncaster Belles and people would be biting nails and pulling out their hair.

Is it only me that's not worried who we play ? The way we are playing I feel confident BEFORE every match. It doesn't always work out but I'm sure I'm enjoying this season far more than some. I look forward to every match and they can't come around fast enough.

Not particularly a dig at you KHL.

We'll win 1-3.

For me the "really worried" factor correlates very closely to how well we are doing in the league rather than who we are playing!

Fuck me manninger looks old and Wijnaldum is blackaneese

The ref is a die hard Tranmere fan. Matip definitely out according to Klopp as they can't fully work out the extent of the ankle injury.

Didnt he say that he just needed rest? No need for surgery and only a doubt for the game

Matip Can Coutinho Sturridge

No luck with injuries, that's basically the spine of our team out.

Lucas is a legend

Yep if that goal had gone in after replacing Stevie it could have been so different especially as he was bought as a box to box midfielder. A winning goal on your debut in the derby could have seen him given a sustained run in an attacking position.
Instead he was converted to a DM

The chances of Joel Matip - arguably the side's most impressive defender this season - featuring are essentially over though.
His ankle issue is causing confusion at the club and Klopp admits there is an element of uncertainty about how to proceed with the Cameroon international.
"It's not really an injury but it's a little painful," he said.
"We cannot push him through it that's the situation, it's a fact. So we have to see if we try him again for Everton, or give him another few days for Stoke or another few days for Manchester City.

Hate the saying, but on the back of Chelsea winning again, this does have a must win feel to it. Really don't know what to expect.

Shame about Matip if he doesn't play, that's a few injuries he's picked up now which isn't too encouraging.

If we play at the top of our game and don't let the occasion dominate the fixture we are capable of beating Everton resoundingly, that's the most important thing for me, go out there and dominate the game. I want to make a statement in this game, a massive victory and a reminder to everyone that we're still here and we're absolutely devastating, we need that momentum heading into the Christmas period.

...but we'll probably fuck it up.

Expect one of those outcomes - a resounding victory OR a fucked up loss. I think the influence of both coaches will decide the outcome of this game rather than any specific player. My worry is that their coach knows how to get a victory over Klopp based on what happened at Southampton last season away and he also knows the issues that Mane has. Add to it the heated atmosphere then we could be in for a rough ride.

On the other had I have this feeling that Everton are a soft touch - once we get at them they may not rise to the occasion and we will completely dominate them.

What the fuck

The only difference that goal would have made to Lucas career is adding one more goal to his tally.

Seems a nice bloke though. But a very average footballer.

He was touted as a goal scoring box-to box-to midfielder when he arrived/before he got here wasn't he?

Or did I just imagine that?
