Hahaha that was amazing. The last 20 plus years will have been more than worth it if the same happens to them now and that's the start of their decline. I just hope Tyldsley and co. keep saying all this is just down to bad luck so they can keep papering over the cracks and keep Moyes in a job.

Ferdinand and Smalling were laughable. Ferdinand should go to the MLS so he can stroll about and "brap" to his heart's content in the USA. I've never seen Smalling play well.
This is exactly what I was thinking. I want everyone in the media and especially at Old Trafford to take their time and wait for the recovery to come under Moyes, when in reality the foundations are rotting away every transfer window. It happened to use the same, everyone expecting us to recover quickly in the early 90s, with flashes of the 'old Liverpool' hiding the truth.

We need Moyes there for longer than one season. He has to do serious damage over the summer transfer window by paying over the odds to mediocre players to entice them to choose Utd if there is no CL football on offer. It isn't supposed to go this badly so soon, despite how much pleasure it is giving us.

Yep. He really doesn't understand he's in the football equivalent of Russia after the collapse of the Soviet bloc. These hacks have had years of being banned on a whim, their careers threatened by Ginsoak going over their heads to their editors, who in turn have made them beg forgiveness in return for renewed access, etc etc. Most of them are fans or sympathisers but they are also determined NEVER to create another monster. If someone came in who was prepared to work with them, with respect, they'd play the game, but Moyes has sneered at them, snubbed them, and even mocked them. He's pretty much forced them into hating him. It's delightfully irrational.
