12.30 kickoff would have been better, but at least it's on the Sunday so no complaints. Gonna have to bolt it straight after the game.

Gonna need some tips from you cunts as to where to park to get the fastest way outta liverpool and back on the motorway after the game.

The first Super Sunday would have to be Maureen's return wouldn't it.
It's going to be cheesier than a French mouse trap.

Roy Hodgson’s worst fears were confirmed today when it emerged that many of his stars will be in action on the Sunday before England’s crunch World Cup qualifiers.

The release of the schedule for televised Premier League matches revealed that Liverpool v Manchester United and Arsenal v Tottenham will be screened by Sky Sports on Sunday September 1 just five days before they face Moldova and nine before the trip to Ukraine.

The England boss had hoped the glamour games would remain on Saturday August 31, to give his men the maximum time to recover.

Those matches are two of 43 live top-flight games Sky will show before December 1 while BT Sport will screen 12 Premier League matches over that period. This is the first of a three-year TV deal and Sky and BT are fighting a bitter battle to win over viewers.

Sky has dominated coverage of the top flight since the Premier League’s launch in 1992 and is determined to hold on to its position.

Sky has paid £1.2billion to screen the lion’s share of the games — 116 per season — while BT has paid £738million for 38 matches.

Crucially, this is the first contract under which Sky does not have exclusive pick of first games. It has used eight of its 20 first picks in its selection while BT has chosen five of its 18.

Of the games released today, Sky’s are far more attractive as it will show nine derbies and 24 games involving top-four sides. Stand-out games include Chelsea v Hull (Jose Mourinho’s first match back as Blues boss), United v Chelsea and the Manchester derby. BT’s biggest games involve Spurs’ clashes against Chelsea and United.

Sky Sports managing director Barney Francis said: “There has been a lot of talk from BT and we’re delighted that the fixtures are out and people can see there is no comparison with what we offer.”

BT director of sport Simon Green said: “We are thrilled that BT Sport viewers will be able to enjoy these top-of-the-table matches free with BT broadband.”

BT need to change the record. We get it. You get the sport with broadband. However, you've only got a quarter of the games sky has.

Just noticed we're away to Hull on Sunday 1st Dec then home to Norwich on Tues 3rd...bit strange that?
Thought there had to be at least 3 days before games?

I'm sure they already know which games are going to be shown but are letting travel companies etc know first. They really don't give a shit about fans.
Strange that the early Ryanair flight from Dublin to Liverpool on the morning of the Stoke game went from €22 to €76 last Tuesday.
Yet the lunchtime flight which would have got you to Anfield in time for a three o clock kick off remained the same price at €22.
You would almost think the they knew in advance that the game was going to be played at 12.45

I think the Hull fixture is the last one that's been moved for now... the Norwich fixture will certainly be moved to Wednesday once they do the next round.

Tottenham travel to Georgia for Europa League 1st Leg against FC Dinamo Tbilisi (22 Aug) before their home game against Swansea (who also play on 22 Aug at home to FC Petrolul Ploiesti) on 25 Aug and play the 2nd leg (29 Aug) at home before facing Arsenal (who play Fenerbache for 2nd leg of CL qualifier at home on 27/28 Aug) on 1 Sep away at Emirates. Arsenal travel to Fulham on 24 Aug for noon kickoff after their 1st leg CL qualifier away to Fenerbache (20/21 Aug).

But per game BT paid a helluva lot more than Sky did .. so why did Sky get away not only with the best games but with paying far less for them ?

BT paid per £19.4m game
Sky paid £10.3m per game

Let's face it, most people will get BT dm then add sky sports or sky then add BT sport.

BT's biggest fuck up so far had been charging £15 per month to sky subscribers.
