Dortmund vs Liverpool post-match thread

Which was the underlying reason we lost the title.. His tactical nouse in setting up a team to defend, just wasn't all that..

Football was great.. Sensational at times, but you where never gong to win a league title conceding 50 goals +.. It is incredibly Nieve for anyone to think so... Our attacking threat papered over the cracks..

So when the attacking threat was all but diminished the following season.. The real problem in Rodgers reign was heavily exposed...

Like Modo's posts, that's a considerable oversimplification. We very nearly did win a league title conceding that many goals, and what's really naïve is imagining we could have got ourselves into that position by the efforts of two or three players alone. Rodgers did not get the defence right in the end, but throughout the season other teams tried all sorts to stop us and he kept finding ways to get around their various strategies. Was he the finished article tactically? No. But was he "tactically inept" all season every season? No again.

It's pointless wasting your breath JJ, he has his mind set on Rodgers and always had, for someone who clearly doesn't like the guy and is completely transparent in his criticism of him, he can't help but mention him and have a dig at every opportunity - We challenged because of Suarez, Rodgers only bought our shit players/the committee bought the good ones, Klopp's successes this season are in spite of the squad he inherited, while his failures can conveniently be accredited to Rodgers. That's about it in a nutshell, completely lacking any sort of reasoning or perspective. Over-simplified bias.

See his post about Origi in the Dortmund thread - "one of Rodgers better buys". He can't help himself. Modo is fairly level headed these days, give or take the odd dig, but Jono's opinion of Rodgers will forever seep out into any tenuously linked post and is borderline obsessive.

It's a match day. Let's focus on the cunts we're gonna batter on the pitch. Not the cunts we want to batter on the keyboard.
Dortmund don't seem that cunty. I'd rather read about them than the ongoing Rodgers feud though.

TLW has a special ex managers forum for people to argue in without spoiling other threads. It works well.

(I've never read it).

I meant Stoke are cunts. Like Dortmund quite a bit.

Do they really have that thread at TLW? That's brilliant. If we opened one here we might never see a few people outside of it again.

Matip has been excellent in the first half against Dortmund. Winning everything in the air.
