Flanno doesn't kick the player. He just proceeds with great velocity to the players current location.

Must have been very recent, I had to update it the other day and it gave me the option to get rid of the signature.

Milner playing in three different positions so far. Shows why he's such a valuable player who gets selected for almost every game

Lucky not to get a red there, Christ Alberto.

Years ago there was a comedy Scouse phrasebook which alleged that the Scouse expression for "a long time ago" was "that was when Jesus was playing fullback for Israel". Tell you something, there's no way I'd have tackled like that. (Preferred playing midfield anyway.)

Signed Christ.

All this sniping at individual players seems inappropriate in the context of a great team performance, away to the tournament favourites. I wouldn't criticise any of the players.

A typically good-hearted contribution, old friend, but I'm going to respectfully disagree. Overall it's been a fine performance but there have been individual errors, some of them potentially serious, which IMHO it's legitimate to comment on.

Man of the match is going to be tough

Origi, Lovren, Sakho, Moreno, Clyne, Mignolet and Milner all very good indeed

I didn't think we'd get hammered but I did think they'd be bringing a lead to our place. Excellent performance. Klopp spot on too.

Disagree about Clyne, I thought he had a mediocre game. Moreno was OK, but that tackle... just shows total lack of intelligence.

Yeah it really was a team performance, particularly defensively where Lovren and Sakho seemed to take turns bailing each other out. Seems odd to say after the horror show at the back last weekend but we do seem to be getting more balanced at the back, were giving away far less chances than we were earlier in the season. Dortmund really didnt create anything from open play, its a good result, much like the weekend it could have been better if we were more clinical but we will take it.

Dortmund will know they are in a tie next week, they had to work bloody hard to just to salvage a draw tonight.

Anyway great result, and great performance, but we need to be more clinical..

It may come back to haunt us those misses..

Yeah, Clyne was rubbish going forward.

Also a mention for Allen who really helped us get some sort of control over the game in the second half.

Pity we lost the lead too easily, but we put in a solid team performance today against arguably the best team in the tournament, after all the pre-match fears of being ripped apart. Weidenfeller's saves weren't the hardest but were definitely crucial. Kudos to both CBs for some fantastic blocks and interceptions in the box when we really needed them at times.

Can was much improved in the second half and Allen performed very well too. Milner, Origi and Lovren, in that order, for my MOTM picks today.

Very pleased with the team performance, a little disappointed with the result as I thought we did enough to nick that.

All to play for at Anfield, big European night atmosphere and hopefully the right result. Maybe the seasons not dead yet.
