So pretty much 2/3's of fans want Rodgers gone. You know FSG patrol all the fan boards. If this feeling is consistent across LFC fan boards, he will be gone.

In his defence, we bought no strikers, and lost Suarez and Studge. He turned it around mid season, but had to deal with the gerrard roadshow

In no defence of him, he's let it go to shit again, and it;s unlikely a manager so damaged going into the summer, will be given a half season to do it right.

It would be a bigger gamble to keep him around. Go for a Klopp, Ancellotti, or *other* high end manager. But I'd rather keep him here, then gamble on another young guy. We need a big name manager to bring in players since we are once again back in no mans land.

I will get this in then...

Hello John W Henry how is the Lovely wife.. ?

Sack Brendon.. Get Klopp... have a nice Day...

Yeah, while we're on the subject, Linda needs to get to more home games. We don't generally lose when she's there. Plus she's a looker and a half.

So would I, but unlike many on here I include Klopp in that, particularly given the season he's just had. I'd be OK with making contact with the guy and keeping him on ice (if he fancies a sabbatical) while Rodgers has his "4th place or bust" season, but I wouldn't appoint him straight away.

Yeah well, it needed to be said.
Good luck with whoever replaces Rodgers.
@Mystic, I haven't forgot our bet. Give the money to kids in need. You pick.

Peace y'all.
Yep, fair is fair Modo, it'll go to Hillsborough, i'll post a receipt soon.

As original bet stated, £10 to Hillsborough if Southampton get over 50 points this season, as I've been proven horribly wrong, here you go.

I think we have to discount last year, yes I know it was great but it was unsustainable. The reason can be put into one word "Suarez" that's all, nothing more. He made things tick for everyone and he alone scored enough goals to paper over the cracks in the defence. Fast forward to this year and the club has been found out, he was not replaced and therein lies the problem. I believe that any manager could've got us to second last year with Suarez in that kind of form and a grade 1 manager would've secured the title. Having sold Suarez, we are now back to the level at which we were 2012/2013 season….we have not moved on. Therefore I believe that we have to replace him in order to move on and to attempt to get to the next level.

Ridiculous. That's like saying you should discount your wedding day because the remaining marriage years are unsustainable in comparison.

He is right though.. We are back at the level we where before last season..

His tactical misgivings where shown up against Chelsea Last season..

They have continued through out this season in that veign

He can set up a team to attack but not defend... Possession football is his methodology... However possesion football with out any penetrative end product is somewhat pointless

So if we haven't got the ball.. We are potentially vulnerable...

He also has inept abilty to know when to change tactic within a game.. Sticking to the same lineup and tactics despite not working previously

He needs to learn defensive attribute to his game.. He is somewhat shocking with that aspect of his game

3 years and counting and no sign of improvement...

So let's forget about all the work you do behind the scenes for SCM and ban yourself for all the threads you've ruined by blaming Rodgers on everything

.

I'd say we're at a lower level. There's less commitment, less hunger and less experience in the team. At least before last season we still had two top forwards, a relatively fit Gerrard, a more experienced back three/four, and a Sterling who still scared opponents and was committed to the club. And the players were still playing for the manager.

There is that aspect..

We just look like we have given up..

I don't blame him on everything.

We have some lazy players and there is of course the 'transfer committee'

But at the end of the day.. The bucks stops with the Manager..

Whether it’s in Liverpool when I’m having a pint or elsewhere, people are coming up to me saying: “Aldo, what’s going on” and I just have to tell them that I don’t know.

Mate, you've been rambling about Rodgers since the beginning of the season using hypercritical logic, taking the bad points on every decision. It's ok if one manager reaches the top 4 but he's never used his signings but if Rodgers does it then he gets criticised for using the old guard.

If we win but play badly you moan about the poor play, if a player has an off day then it's the managers fault for not firing him up.

If he makes changes to the system and its successful then he did it too late. If he changes in the game then he doesn't know what system to play.

You do this in every fucking thread. You even started threads on it in a vain lame attempt to inject humour yet it's obviously another dig.

People get fed up off repeated agenda filled posts and one of the worst offenders got banned for it. Cut it the fuck out.

And the buck doesn't stop with the manager. It's the shit injuries, the failed transfers, the lack of billionaires funding, the players putting half arsed effort in. In short, the not just on Rodgers.

The buck stops with the manager. It isn't managers' fault when they lose key players to injuries, but they get sacked for it nonetheless if results don't go their way. And it's not always down to a manager which players sign for a club, but again they get sacked for it if the players fail to make an impact. And if managers regard the lack of a billionaire's funding as the root cause of their problem, they should be sacked regardless. As for players putting in a half-arsed effort, well, that most certainly is down to the manager, whoever he is. Managers DO have to accept responsibility or walk out. It's not always fair but it's how it's always been.

I think the current Manager has said the same himself about taking responsibility but we can't really expect him to resign. The owners need to take responsibility for their own business. They do the hiring and firing, they need to decide what they want.

Lol. You could totally imagine that.

Aldo does not have the same ties to the club as other former players do..

Shame that.. I always thought he was a player we let go far too early..

Of course, as I've said elsewhere. And then taking it down again. Same again. Ask Rafa.
My point is to have a balanced view. He's done a lot right and a lot wrong. Saying last season was on Suarez alone is retarded - who set the team up to allow Suarez to shine?

This season was awful purely on the expectation from over achieving last season. If in our 2nd season we got to 2 semi finals and came 5th then in the 3rd season we got to second then none of this talk will be happening.

With respect, mate, I really don't think it was 'purely' down to that.
The buck stops with the fans expectations, mate.

Not saying it's fair but if the fans expectations aren't met then they post hyperbolic threads. Well, one fan does anyway.

So we should expect to play lethargic, blind alley football, and then we'd be happy?

How about I become the manager and we get relegated. It's your fault for expecting me to do any better
