And if this club still thinks of itself as a top club, then top clubs are not finishing schools (either for players or managers). You arrive the finished article, or you spend time in the reserves or out on loan until you're pretty much the finished article. THEN you're eased into the team. Not before. THEN. The players serve the club, the club doesn't serve the players. Unless you're a club like Norwich. This is not to utter some kind of blasphemy that has to be punished by the boys in blazers with 'super fan' embossed on their prefect badge. It's a statement of fact. Deal with it.
Look, I didn't superfan over anything. I said that your point about him needing games rather than being eased in could be refuted by the fact that he DID play all of last season for a big club in France, he had the media and fans on his back and has arrived here in a bit of a confidence battered state.
You said (YOUR words) that being eased in was "not good enough for him". When I asked why you were saying it
wouldn't work, you went off on one, even though that was clearly what you had said. Your words here, to compound the point again are, "It's a statement of fact. Deal with it". No, it really isn't. It's an opinion, like mine. There are plenty of examples of young players being nurtured in at big clubs and it working, look at Sterling and Ibe.
Anyone who reads back through our minor exchange can see that I said repeatedly "I don't
think throwing him in would work", you're the one who's chosen to talk about this in a matter of fact, set in stone manner.
It's a fucking pointless argument anyway, you clearly can't talk about anything these days without getting a shitty on if someone challenges what you say. For the record as well, I was completely respectful to your comments until you decided to get the insults out because you didn't like me challenging your OPINION.
The superfan bollocks is a childish cop-out & the cheerleader comment was completely uncalled for. I could easily say you are looking for another stick to beat the club and/or Rodgers with over this, which would probably be closer to the truth.
